upgrade question

Got a 94 Carrera 205 sbc.. looking to upsize

Mainly on Lake Mead or Willow occasionally Havasu and sometimes Parker.

Leaning towards an Ultra 24’, not sure if it’s the right upgrade, ideally would have a 240 o.b or Nordic Rage but they’re both out of the budget, don’t want much more than a 26’ and trying to keep it under 30k and newer than 2000

Anyone have experience with the ultra 24 on big/windy days?

Also looking for a pair of 8’ gunnel tanks.. For a 74 Campbell Whaler

Friends have 1. It's a great size for Parker. Will be Night and day better ride than the Carrera. My Buddy has 1 in Parker and I won't even go in it unless it's glass.

i know what you mean, took it up to pirates cove on a weekend last summer .. I learned to not do that ever again

See if you can find an Eliminator Eagle in your price range.

That hull cuts through the chop line it's not even there. I think you'd be surprised and pleased.

Not that you'll find one but if you want a rough water boat look for a 24 Lavey.

I have a 26 Eagle and it does well, but the Lavey is probably better at the rough.

A 23 Eagle also rides surprisingly well in the rough. Had on on Arrowhead and it was great.
