Twin Turbo Fresh Air Supply

Should a 468 have vents or openings on the hatch cover? Or is the air supply from around the seats and clam shells enough to feed a 21ft. R.C. at 6400 RPM. Thanks in advance for any information.

I would think yes. Even the magazine boat testers will raise the hatch on supercharged test boats, and usually ALWAYS the boat runs better with more air...

Easy way to tell, go out and run it. Then come in and pull the hatch off, then try it again...:thumbsup

Forced induction engines require a LOT of air. As River recommended, test without the hatch, you will see a very noticable difference in performance.

You should talk to 06Schiada on the boards here. The hatch for his 21RC twin turbo has no openings. The hatch on my new 21RC has no openings and it's a 500 inch twin turbo, but we haven't launched it yet, so will have to let you know. We hope to finish it, this February...... personally, I'm not a big fan of the hatches with openings/intakes..... look like boobs on a hatch to me????

06schiada also doesnt run carbs on his boat, as his is fuel injected!
