I'm having exhaust made for my Twin Turbo Chevy 509 510 Gentry set up and I'm trying to get some ideas. They will be dry.
Old school...
So, when you say "We just built these" do you mean you built them or had them built? I am interested in how they are fabricated, can you share some details?
Sure, yes we built them. Andy Myers from Myers Machining and myself rigged the boat from scratch. So, when you say "We just built these" do you mean you built them or had them built? I am interested in how they are fabricated, can you share some details?

For the exhaust we rough in the motor so we can determine the centers for the transom holes to be cut.
Then we basically build the entire exhaust out of plexiglas, inner tubes, outer tubes and transom flanges.
First it’s drawn on CAD then the plexiglas is cut on the water jet. We use the plexiglas transom flanges as drilling templates for both the exhaust pipe openings and flange mounting bolts. It is then all roughed in including the band clamps at the turbos to confirm fit and clearances, all in plastic.
Once we have the design and angles perfect we get raw SS tubing and bends from McMaster Carr and begin making the inner tubes, all just tacked together.
Then you start to put the outer tubing and bends over the inner and progress and weld as you go. Once completed, send it out to get polished. Transom flanges are also cut on the waterjet out of SS and sent to polish.
The sea strainers were built in similar fashion, all from scratch except the lids which are sourced from Teague.
And yes I say we but Andy Myers is the master at this and I hold the dumb end of the tape measure and fetch parts and materials.. View attachment 875862 View attachment 875863 View attachment 875864 View attachment 875865 View attachment 875866
Very impressed. What kind of boat is that? Pics?Sure, yes we built them. Andy Myers from Myers Machining and myself rigged the boat from scratch.

Today’s progress, gets wet tomorrow for the first time..
leaving the hatch off so View attachment 876074 View attachment 876075 View attachment 876076 View attachment 876077 View attachment 876078 we can monitor water pressure, etc.

tailpipe on mineAre any of you guys with running 02 sensors on the manifolds or tail pipes?
Tai
tailpipe on mine
CSU blow thruEFI or Carbs?
My tail pipes have the bung for O2 sensors. Are any of you guys with running 02 sensors on the manifolds or tail pipes?
Bet this sounds amazing. I know on the LS platform the merged tails give a much better sounds so I’m sure even wilder on a bbc
I'm excited to see this in person, last time I saw it was at SEMA in '16 (atleast I think it was 2016), you still plan on coming out west for the 4th?I've still got to fab the tubes from the wastegate outlets into the back of this new exhaust tip but you get the idea. It's a custom tip with dual 4-inch inlets for the 88mm Precision turbos and dual 2.5-inch inlets for the wastegates.
Yeah it had a lot of bluetooth accessories at the SEMA show: bluetooth driveshaft, fuel tanks, wiring, throttle etc. lolI'm excited to see this in person, last time I saw it was at SEMA in '16 (atleast I think it was 2016), you still plan on coming out west for the 4th?

If it happens, you gotta let us know. I want to see her run now that she is all togetherYeah it had a lot of bluetooth accessories at the SEMA show: bluetooth driveshaft, fuel tanks, wiring, throttle etc. lol
If the country isn't still locked down and we feel comfortable traveling then the fam and I will be on the river for the 4th. crossing my fingers that it happens. I really wanna go!
