Honestly, I like the little boat. The old Scott motors are cool as well and the small tunnel on the hull. would be cool to restore and cruise the river.
Our neighbour at the lake had a Power Cat with a 50 hp V-4. One of the things I remember about that boat was that they were also the roughest riding boat that I had ever had ever ridden in at that time (early 60's) although very stable and had a small wake for water skiing. They were actually fairly inexpensive in our area back then as they were being manufactured locally for the Canadian market. Seem to have become a collectors item.
My dad and I had two PowerCats -- a 12'6" single engine model in 1960, then moved up to a twin engine (2, 75 HP Johnson
V-4s) a couple of years later (15' model). And it was an okay boat for skiing. In fact, entered it in the Lake Arrowhead men's open ski race in 1963.

.....so much bigger size wise(draft and freeboard), but man, that tri hull rode rough, drier, but rough.......knock your filling out rough.........but when sitting for fishing, great platform........and it was the 70's, so panther jet/amc package..........360 i think..........great grandpa unit, but what a dog
