So what happened? When we were there at our time share in September, they said the new bar would be open by Desert Storm. Obviously that’s not happening.

Anyone know what’s going on?

So damn lame!

It was such a great business plan for them to shut down before last years DS and then for them to think they were going to be up and running before this years event is even more funny (I think we all knew it then, so no disappointment).
Corporate obviously doesn't know the impact of these events during this month and don't seem to care! Straight up, they have to be loosing money!
Looking forward to its return tho, cuz the the vibe just isn't the same without it!

I don't understand why some corp has not bought that whole resort and updated it. I think the carpet is unchanged since about 1975.
We still have cups from Tiki Terrace.

The last time it was for sale, multiple folks dropped out.
Asking price + upgrades was insane.
Now that the golf cart land sold and the Nautical boat ramp is on that parcel of land, no one is going to touch it.

It's crazy how mismanaged that place is, what a waste of prime waterfront property.

The best upgrade they can give those rooms is to run a D9 thru them with extreme prejudice.

You should know by now it's Havasu. Kind of like site six and the city is doing that not a private corporation. There's still talking about the second bridge onto the island.

Pretty sure they didn’t have much of a choice as it was getting bad. Termites and plumbing issues, or at least that was along the lines of what was said.

It was one of my go-to's when on the water, was kinda missing it but it was also starting to get pricey, the good that came out of it was that I discovered a couple places in the channel to grab some quick burgers and beers on a hot day...

Are they replacing the docks? I just remember the docks being pretty torn up from a big storm that took them out. That was probably 4-5 years ago. I use to like going to turtle bar in the afternoon and watching the boats head to the channel.

There are a bunch of new docks up in the fenced in area by the ramp- I assume they are waiting for further work to put them in the water?

I looked at the project this weekend and it looks like all the underground work is done and the new concrete break wall is in. From the looks of the footings the bar will be circular and possibly match the pool bar? It’s formed about the same size. From what I saw it could be done in 4-6 months if they worked on it. However I did not see anybody working on it from Thursday - Sunday while I was there?

Was at The Nautical for lunch yesterday and asked about it. Was told the bulk of the delay was due to the ACOE (Army Corp) permitting process.

Knowing how slow they are on this side of the country, that wouldn't surprise me at all.
