Well.......I was 50 exactly 5 years ago this Thursday and we jumped on the back of the Harley and took off up the coast for 10 days....no plans just stopped when we got tired, ate when we got hungry and F****D when we........well needless to say it was a lot :cool............you're only as old as you feel

Go on a big vacation! That's pretty much my answer to everything though... Hubby turns 40 in October. Looks like we are planning to go to Hawaii. :thumbup:

Spent it in Parker. My birthday usually falls on or close to Thanksgiving. My 50th was Thanksgiving Day 2012. Barefoot run on the strip at sunrise followed by Thanksgiving with family and friends. Best birthday ever.

For my 50th....packed the family in the 5er and hit the road Up California to Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, dropped into Wyoming, Back into Idaho, Nevada and finally back into California, 3 weeks on the Road, My 50th was in the middle and celebrated in Montana with a big ass steak, great wine and my family....loved every minute of it and my kids still talk about it :thumbsup :thumbsup:thumbsup

My 50th was 2 years ago in April. We just celebrated with a trip to the river, lots of good food and drink and friends.....

then moved to Havasu for the next 50. Planned to 'pick up my feet and coast a while', but having been here for 14 years now, something always comes up. There is a funny 'time warp' that happens around 60 years old. The young guys don't care who you are (or what you know), and the boats you built/rigged in the 70's and 80's are now listed as "built by owner", so I guess they think (or hope) that I'm already dead. HA HA

Thinking back, I guess I learned this one from Mom......she always invited folks to dinner for her birthday and then picked up the tab herself. In the arguement over the tab, should would simply ask if that person wanted to be invited again next year.

So for my 50th, I invited about 100 friends and family to my place for a party. Never mentioned my birthday, just a party with a small boat filled with ice and beer, a taco guy for dinner and a small band for tunes on the lawn.

Over the next couple of years, turned into a weekend deal with RV's showing up on Thursday before and leaving Tuesday after......I really didn't mind a 3 or 4 day party.....

My 60th is this year so maybe I should get the planning started.....
