I’m putting a turbo VW engine in my SU car and it was suggested I get a scavenge pump for the turbo oil, but a very small one. The engine is only 2387CC and the turbo is pretty small. I can’t seem to find a pump (besides eBay or amazon crap) that seems to be small enough. I understand I need under 1GPM and AN-3 fitting. Any ideas?

03-1040 is the one I was looking at but It’s probably too big

Does Aeromotive have anything that would work? If not they might be able to recommend someone.

I’ll check with aeramotive but I’m now seriously looking at strightish -10 line to the sump and maybe just put Turbo a little higher.

I run a -10 straight from the turbo down to the sump, into a bung on the left side of the sump. 2332 cc street motor in a bug with the turbo down low next to the crank pulley, works great with no pump, high 10 second street car running 25+ lbs of boost, gt28 turbo hasn’t had any issues with oil not draining. Been this way for over 3 years.

Yes ,25lbs, no, not on these tires.I run it on vp110 and definitely don’t daily it.it’s a handful but it runs straight. I never expected it to last this long.I have no idea the true horsepower.

Well, you and everybody else has convinced me I don’t need the complexity of adding a scavenge pump. Especially with your turbo below your crank. I’d love to she how many ponies your car makes, has to be over 500.

I’d like to dyno it sometime, I’ve built several turbo air cooled engines over the years and this is by far the most fun. It’s fuel injected currently and I’ve been through a few different ignition setups since the original build (pics). It’s just sitting now, collecting dust.do you have any pics of your build? Specs? Turbo?
