After looking for a Tuff 21 for a few years, we finally found one and had it shipped from Canada. I wondered for all that time how it would run in rougher water because most of the videos of them show them are flying on their pad in glassy conditions. We brought it out to HIH (where some nice folks adopted us for the weekend), giving us a good chance to test in rougher water Saturday morning. It handled the water well. For anyone who wondered the same thing as me, below is a Youtube link to some GoPro footage of it.

Awesome looking. Congrats. That's a bucket list boat of mine.

Interesting:

The 21 Challenger sitting beside a Tuff 21. Similar in some ways but a completely different driving experience.

Congratulations @Mr. Jones . I used to work for your father in law. I'm sure some seat and prop trials that mph number will climb. Great boat. I love it!!

There is a 21 Challenger that has been pulling skiers in the Catalina ski race for like the last 40 years. You wouldn’t think to look at it but it is a really really good rough water boat. I was shocked the first time I was in it.

Boat is the P-6.

Is this the boat with the old Johnson on it!?

Thought that was you....did he foot it at all? How many props did you try?
He was the first person to drive it to be honest and still has the fastest speed in it.

We've tried three props, all bravo-style. A 26 and 28 pitch from Hill Marine. And the boat came with 30 pitch bravo.

There's a scream and fly post where someone manages to buy the first Tuff 21 called "Prelude 21" before they were in production

A couple weeks ago I was told to expect a four year wait for a Tuff 20.

I am aware of that. We sell a lot of zipper extension panels at Lifeline.
I wish that was true when I called to get one. I tried to stop by one day during regular hours and nobody answered, someone looked out the window through the blinds but didn't open the door. Then called to get an extension and I was rudely told to buy a new jacket instead. Oh well. Quite a different experience from when Mr. Fauntleroy gave me a tour of the place in Parker with my Dad when I was a kid. I'd still love to get an extension though :)

Didn't mean to derail the thread. Love the Tuff boats, and the Shadow/Challenger/Superboat's as well. P-6 is a legend, and pretty sure I've seen it with a Johnson, Evinrude, and Mercury on it at different times.

Who do we ask for to buy these? My brand new large is too tight, and my brand new XL is way too big. I’d LOVE to loosen the large up a whisker.

It is not like the old days. Call after 10:00 A.M. Ask for Kent ( Bill Fauntleroy's son ) Open Mon through Thurs. this time of year. I just help out in the mornings, and don't have any dealings with customers.

Good to know that is still an option compared to what I was told last time I called. Thank you.
