7 years ago, four of us coming down the front straight at the start of Parker Thanksgiving Classic, you could throw a blanket over all of us.

Crazy that only two of us are still here. RIP #29 and #234.

When Greg passed at Puddingstone it changed my life forever. Attending his funeral was like attending my own, I will always be thankful to him for providing me with that message.

Boat racing is such an exciting sport to watch as well as race, too bad the risk are high. I've seen fatalities as a spectator and its something that you don't forget. I do continue to support the sport in any way I can, mostly by attending.

There are surely inherent risks in all forms of racing. I think that is part of what draws people to it. Both spectator and racer are usually aware of what can happen. 10 seconds in the saddle, or a lifetime from the stands? We all have an expiration date, we just aren't told what it is. Be happy your paths crossed, and you shared time, and competed with, people you actually miss. It means the time was well spent, even if too short.
