We were able to pick up a tritoon recently and going to need to modify a few things to fit inside the garage. I believe I know what needs to be done to the trailer to get down to the overall height I need but this tow bar will be my last hurdle. I searched trying to find some options but was unsuccessful. Have anyone here customized theirs to either put some sort of hinge or made some type of quick release to take on and off easily for storage. I will take the bar off and take to a shop to see what they can come up with but was hoping to get some ideas or pictures of some examples.

Right now this bar is the highest point by about 6” and need to be able to lower it by at least that temporarily and raise back up when in use to clear the outboard. Any Ideas?

I don't have one, but it seems the simplest thing to do would be to cut it right were the brace meets the main tube/hoop. Weld in an internal sleeve. Drill the top piece and the sleeve for pins. Two quick release pins, and it pulls off. You could do the same anywhere down by the base, but then you have 4 pins or bolts to deal with, and a bigger piece of metal to move around when you do remove it. It's gonna rattle some when it's on and no skier.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Unless you want to change to an entirely new setup this would be the cleanest and most cost effective.

You could then make a whole bunch of attachments when you aren't towing! A slip on TV mount? a slip on rod holder for trolling? A slip on table with small integrated propane BBQ? lots of options.

Wouldn’t be surprised if someone ran with those ideas and included in the aftermarket options.great ideas.

When we are back in Havasu on Wednesday night ,I’ll measure if putting the sleeve above the Brace would get the clearance since I did not get that measurement. I agree with you guys that it would be best location for it. Thank you
