What an epic place. I have a ton of footage from Gigi’s camera. I spent two straight days boating on pristine clear water and snorkeling/diving. Stayed at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club. Next time I go I am bringing my RDP flag. I flew the HHYC flag so if you make it there look for it. Such a cool place and we came there pretty prepared gear wise with GPS and coolers / our own snorkeling gear. Very secluded - if you like boating you will love this place. A 13 foot whaler comes with your room. I highly recommend upgrading to the 17. When I get home I will post more pics.

Like to see the pics. We are always looking for someplace new. Just got back from Palau.

How was the shark scene?

I followed your thread and we really want to take our own boat there someday.
I was just there about 3 months ago. 3DO had his yacht at Staniel, he invited my wife and I, we accepted of course. Another friend flew us private in his plane there, that was a first. The view from the plane was awesome. I missed my boat a ton, have to say though I rented a 17'CC from Coral and between my buddies yacht tender and the boat I rented we got to see a lot of things I couldn't get my boat into. It for sure worked but I for sure missed my boat. Glad ya got there that place is paradise.

I'm glad to hear from you and a lot others that the vid 3DO made gave you some push, guidance, or set the hook to get there. Staniel is for sure, anyone that likes boating, the ocean and marine life, and to party without looking over your shoulder should for sure go.

I've been lucky to park my ass on a stool at a fairly good amount of tropical bars and get loaded. For some reason Staniels my favorite. Looks like were heading back in my boat in April 2019. If you ever plan a trip with your boat and want a buddy boat for the journey you got one.

One thing I haven't read and am really curious about. Haven't been to the Bahamas since 68', back then the bars served conch fritter chips (Deep fried conch strips) like American bars serve peanuts. At the rate they were hauling them in on the docks, I figured they'd exhaust their supply eventually. So, can you get Conch in the Bahamas anymore ?

Yes you can, still lots of Conch being served. They have Conch farms over there to help satisfy the demand.

After I wrote that I got curious about Conch farming, seems it's huge in the Turks & Caicos.
Now they need to figure out a good use for the shells !!!
