That boat has a pitchfork on the side...:eek
Looks to much like a NEXT deck. A lot of options but not my cup of tea. Seems under powered as well.
I agree I'd opt for a little more but a 496/425hp at 70mph is no slouch for that boat.
Any guesses what it would run with a 525?
Can a 28ft deck boat really hit 70mph with an 496ho? ....that's a lot of weight! .... I know it says it in the ad but I don't think so

People who assume all deck boats are the same are the reason the Trident project was unsuccessful.

Yes it will, resin infusion at its finest. Can a 28ft deck boat really hit 70mph with an 496ho? ....that's a lot of weight! .... I know it says it in the ad but I don't think so

or you can go buy a new cheetah.
What about those who are frightened of pitchforks...?
Tridents don't have a bow rail
They should stick to owning jet boats
Or drywall screws

That and the $175,000 MSRP, this boat is a steal at this price, or you can go buy a new cheetah.
..or triple axle trailers.
You know who else has a pitchfork?
Thats alot of boat for the money.....
I'd buy it for $35k because it's used and I'm cheap, but yes that's a lot of boat for the money:thumbup:
Did Froggy run out of speaker grills? I dunno nothing about modern speakers but us old school guys always had grills on them to keep protected...

LOL when my kid was 5 he got in Wes's first Trident and was about to stick his finger through one until I grabbed him.
Lol.. The speakers are hard plastic.. You aren't going to stick any fingers through modern subs (or most components for that matter)

It was sad to see such an ambitious member pour his heart into this project. From what I understand the boat is light for its size and performs extremely well. Albeit a great boat if you know the full history but for me it kind of falls into the Function over looks. It would annoy me to much. But if I had funny money I would buy it anyways......
Don't mock Cheetah boats and people interested in them. Hell at least they are around for warranties.
I believe this is the prime example in which Cheetah Bob likes to build a no frills boat at a lower cost than most competitions. He's still around right. How many big names came and gone and left people screwed on deposits and warranties.
I would have bought a Trident but I was waiting for the closed bow model.
It seats too many people for my taste and that rear entry is great for Fox's, but doesn't really work at RoadRunner.
Nice boat, but definitely function over form in my opinion.
Was this boat converted from jet to IO ? Is that the reason for the fabricated transom mount ?
