oh man... just replace the scene w/ a soccer field lol

Honestly though... I love watching my kids play their games more than I sometimes enjoy hanging out with friends. It goes by quick.

I'm glad we told our kids NO to travel baseball. Out of the hundreds of kids my oldest played baseball with, one of them made it to MLB and he's in AAA mostly.

Worth every minute we sacrificed for our boy's to play all levels of baseball. Both were able to continue to play in College, one is done and the other is a freshman at a D1 program. You never know when that last game will be, so enjoy them all until the end.

Every kid on my youngest's 10u- 13u 50/70 + 54/80 team played at least JUCO level as starters and most played D1 or D2 with at least partial $ . I did try to steer mine more into surf trips and dirt bikes but they were totally into baseball and hoop . For me the best moments were watching your kid start games in the summer where they sell beer in multiple locations at the stadium 👌. You don't always know when the last game will be when they make it past HS. I do miss it but also glad it's over and we are back to all of the other hobbies you can do throughout most of the rest of your lives -,

I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I honestly love it. Just got back from spring training. Tomorrow is pony opening day. I umpire 2 games tomorrow afternoon for little league. Sunday I umpire 2 men’s league games. Travel ball actually leaves a lot of open weekends depending on what tournaments you enter. Pony is mostly weeknight games. Little league was weekend but that’s where we like hanging out anyways. It’s walking distance from the house and all out friends are there. It’s the 400 dollar bats and 200 dollar gloves for me 😂😂 Eli’s just got a new one yesterday. It’s too bright for me but the kids have their own style.

Travel Lacrosse-
We have had tournys in CA, NV, UT, AZ, MN, MD, MA, NC, FL, MO, OR and CO.
Son did it for almost 3 years.
Looking back I cant believe we manage to coordinate it all--airfare, hotels, cars, tourney times, then back in time so no school was missed.
Just moving the gear itself is a challenge--as he played Defense and LSM, sometimes on attack. So usually traveled with at least 3 sticks--2 of them over 5'.
The countless t-shirts and jerseys that go along with it to.

It was a lot of fun for us and im sure for him. Would do it all again too. Im sure we will be doing that with GKids one day???

Daughter played travel, high school and college basketball, great times. We miss it so make sure to enjoy the ride because sooner or later it will come to an end.
