In typical snowball fashion...the stoker redo is now turning into a trailer redo as well.

I have a message into Bear trailer and will be calling extreme in a bit to see what they can do.

Anyone else I should call or recommendations?

The boat is at B&D right now being rigged. and can be placed on a dolly for the time being so now is the time to do the trailer.

The trailer looks like shit compared to the rest of the boat.

Maybe adrenaline in Havasu? Looks like they do some pretty nice work and it's already close to where the boat is at!

Pacific Trailer in Chino. I've only bought parts from them in the past but am considering them for a rebuild of my 96 Extreme in the near future. Not a recommendation just another option to check out.

Isn't there a RDP member that builds/refurbishes trailers? Bunkrepair?

Highly recommend Vic at Bear. Their work is exceptional, the service top notch. He really cares about his customers

Boat is in El Monte. Not HAvasu.

If I'm not mistaken isn't adrenaline The place that has turned out quite a few subpar trailer "refurbish "jobs for board members here?

I have scene some very nice Bear trailers under clients boat and Plaster Dave was towing his back up boat :D on a really nice Bear trailer a couple weeks back in Havasu. I think you will get the custom look you are after with Bear. Adrenaline did some work on my jet ski trailer and my tri toon trailer. Both nice but my outboard has white over spray on it.

I'm not looking for new bunks I'm looking for new paint fenders LED lighting tires rims etc.

I understood that Bunkrepair does everything on trailers Bill. Dunno...give him a shout. Can't hurt to get a bid from him too.

First I have heard of that. I know lots of guys that have used them and been really happy. One board member had an issue, but it was resolved.

They are expanding into the old alco building right now.

Oh ok. Thought it was already in Havasu at B & D. I would use Vic at Bear trailers in Chatsworth then. [emoji106]🏻

They quoted me $1800 to rewire, bunks, paint, lights, new bearings and fold away hitch install. I ended up doing it myself but I had the replace the spindles and bearings. I couldn't be happier. It rolls smooth.

Maybe I'm wrong. I remember seeing a few that the paint quality wasn't the best. I know there's quite a few new trailer guys out I Havasu now so maybe I'm getting them mixed up?

On a side note......I am looking for someone in so cal.

I just had Extreme redo my triple Axle Trailer for my 28ft. Magic. I had it powder coated white, redo breaks and lines, repack bearings and added LED lights. They did a good job but its not cheap..

I have a NAS triple axle trailer for a 28ft Magic. It is currently at Extreme Trailers in SoCal being redone. I am having the entire trailer stripped down to metal, replacing wiring, break lines, repacking bearings, addling LED lights, fixing fender damage, Powder coating trailer and adding additional metal tie down hooks. All of this and its going to cost $2,600. That same trailer brand new is $6,500.

Was the job a lot more than what you thought it would be? I'm looking to re-do a trailer about the same size as yours. You can PM if you want to.

You can try Baja Trailers in Gardena...............

its at dump, but the builds from scratch, does all the work in house, except galvanizing. I had him rebuild the axles/ suspension on my trailer, he did what he said, gave me the part numbers of the seals etc. It was like $400?

Myself, my Brother and a couple of friends have used Pacific Trailer in Chino over the years. No complaints from any of us.

I called Extreme trailers and just got off the phone with them, they are the ones who originally built it. They gave me a pretty decent price I feel and the quality will be OEM for sure. basically everything will be new but the tubes.......and at half the cost of new.

They will also go pick it up and drop it back off, so I don't even have to take time off work to deal with it.

so next questions is.....

What tire and wheel combo?

That's a bad ass personal plate in your avatar, is that on your vehicle or boat trailer?

Your Extreme trailer may have been a great trailer, but Extreme is not what they once were. I've never seen such thin paint and shotty welds in my life. Go elsewhere since you have a choice. Just my .02, but your boat is going to be an absolute showpiece. Get a trailer that is of the same quality.

You had them redo a trailer for you? The thin paint would definitely be an area of concern for me I'm not having anything modified on the trailer so the quality of wealth doesn't really bother me. Just wondering what things to look for.

I did receive a response from Vick at Bear trailers also. He sent an email stating he was on vacation and will be contacting me Monday. Definitely a thumbs up in my book that he took the time to reach out to me while he was on vacation. I look forward to hearing from him on Monday and see what he has to say.

It's a new trailer for a new boat. Looks great from far and tows like its' on rails, but when I get up under the trailer, I can see primer which drives me nuts. No actual bare metal anywhere, but you can tell whoever was spraying the finish coats, was in a hurry. The sides and bottom of the tongue are the worst spots. Also noticed the inside corners of the fenders were pretty thin too. In your case of no structural alterations, welds won't be an issue. I guess you can jump their shit if the paint comes out thin, and have it fixed. But from what I've read on here and seen in person, mine is not a "special" case. I've thought about taking it in to Extreme, but not sure if I'm just overly picky. Time will tell how I feel in the winter.

I'd avoid Roke, that is if they are still in business. . .I initially thought they did a good job, but after a couple of trips to the river, and after having a couple of opportunities to look their work over, I felt cheated. They only painted the parts of the trailer you can see while standing(underside was not painted), replaced old fenders that were dented with used fenders (I was told they would be new) all for 1700 bucks, oh, and the bow stop was welded WAY crooked.

Oh well.

What are you looking to have done exactly Billdo? Just a paint job? Are you going to add an axle, drive guards, landing strip lighting, slimline lights, stainless fender, tool boxes, break away tongue, cat walks, etc??

Paint. Leds. Stainless fenders. New tires and rims. Pretty basic deal just want the trailer to look good. No 3rd axle. Fix the brakes.

Those plates are on my truck. Just switched them from a silver F250 to a new graphite dodge 2500. Those plates get lots of comments, mostly positive. If you see me around say hi.

If you aren't doing any welding etc I would think any shop could do it..

You could also check with Trail-Rite in Santa Ana or Shadow in Cypress.

Besides Adrenaline, who else is decent in Havasu? I need paint, and a little brake work done on mine.

The only other trailer shop in Havasu doing that kind of work (that I know of) is All In Custom Trailers. It is Rusty from Ultra boats that owns it. Their number is 928-855-7946
