Anybody have feedback on the Convert a ball or Reese interchangeable hitch ball system? Trying to find a solution for a static height hitch draw bar, but multiple trailer tongue sizes. Thanks in advance.

I probably have about five different hitches. Different drops and different balls.

We use them at the shop on our forklifts which is fine, but I don't really trust them on long highway trips

Don't really feel like walking outside but I have one of these on my truck. Id go with the 2 ball setup if you tow anything crazy heavy tho

I'm like Joe. One of the large drawers in my tool chests is full of different sizes and drops. It seems like every trailer is just different enough.

If your heights don't change, I guess the three ball is the best choice. Your shins are gonna suffer though.

I run this one. Was the only decent one I found that has a high weight rating. Have to buy the lock that locks the two pieces together and also the lock to the truck.

Truth is it’s just as fast to change out a hitch as it is to flip it over.

What are you towing and how heavy?

I bought two 2.5 Curt ball mounts and two balls one 2” and one 2 5/16” made a mount in the bed for one and the other is always in the receiver. I don’t trust the flip hitches etc myself.

I use the reese interchangeable ball, no trouble with it. if you leave it in all the time you will have to lube it so it does not get stuck.

Damn I have have had a hell of a time with a hitch for the new boat. My trailer sits high, I can’t figure out how a 30’ trailer only has a 2” ball mount but I swapped out hitches and had to reverse from a drop to a rise. What I had hoped to work, didn’t work to my comfort level.
A trailer place in havasu ordered a hitch for me but closed 10 minutes before I got into town a few weeks ago (noon on a Saturday) so I ended up finding something else. I also added a leaf spring. Rhino lined the new hitch the best I could and now have a system I hope that I just flip back and forth for my other trailers with 2 5/16 mounts.
