Thought you all might like our little program as an alternative to cold cuts. We’ll put something on the Traeger and give it a good smoke. Pork tenderloin in this case then slice it up on our entry level Cabelas meat slicer to make awesome sammich meat. It’s cheap, easy and so much better than store bought lunch meat. Check out the juices coming out of the meat as I was slicing it.

I've been considering this....it's impossible to find lunch meat that's not loaded with salt.
We like the boars head from sprouts blazing buffalo chicken or roast beef

My neighbor up the street says a slicer is mandatory to make jerky….

Slices need to be consistent to have a good turn out
my butcher will run it though the slicer for me. I just tell him im making jerky and how many pounds of what cut. last time around i just told him cut me what he uses, he cut me 2 pounds of tri tip. it was some of the best jerky i have made. i would have never thought to try it for jerky.

If I had the room I would have a Hobart or whoever big slicer. tri tip sandwiches would be the bomb.
I have a slicer similar to the one he has in the picture, got mine off amazon. I do tri tip sliders all the time and they are tasty!
