Having a Song or Phase stuck happens to me alot often when I'm out doing menial work (mowing etc) it can be a form of OCD which I have 🤣

Having a song stuck in your head is called an earworm, stuck song syndrome, or involuntary musical imagery. It's a common experience that's usually not a cause for concern. However, in some cases, it could be a symptom of an underlying mental health condition.

What causes earworms?
  • Earworms are fragments of music that get stuck in your head and repeat.

  • They're similar to suddenly remembering a moment from your life without context.

  • Earworms can be caused by anxiety and stress.
How to get rid of an earworm?

  • Try distracting yourself with another song, chewing gum, or changing your environment.
    • You can also try completing the song or engaging in mindfulness.
When might earworms be a sign of an underlying condition?

    • Earworms can sometimes be a symptom of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) or attention deficit disorder (ADHD).
