I am looking to upgrade the tire and wheels on my wife's 2012 Camry. OEM wheels are what I'm looking at, question is will a 2018+ SE model fit? I don't know shit about Toyotas I've only owned GM and Dodges. From what I have found online the bolt pattern and hub bore size is a go, but offsets are different. The stock rims are 16", looking to go to 18". With a 18 or 19" wheel the tire profile will drop from the stock 65's, so not concerned to much about overall diameter.

Anyone have a some advise or link to a Toyota Camry site?

I'm not a fan of Camrys in particular but the TRD wheels that Toyota offer for them are actually some really pretty wheels and fit the car really well. They should be a direct fit with no mods or spacing issues to worry about.

my $0.02

here's what they look like with rubbers on them

He has a 2012. If it's a 4cyl, a larger diameter tire will kill the milage any performance it might have.

Ask me how I know. 🙄

I realize, but this wheel has been offered as an option for the Camrys since the mid 2000s. The overall diameter is the same as stock its just a tiny bit wider and less side wall.

as far as mileage. I know! my 4cyl Ranger gets worse mileage than my 5.4L f150🤣🤦‍♂️

Be careful if you are planning on buying used wheels. In many cases, the sellers of those wheels are selling because they are bent to some degree. You may only feel it over 70-80mph.

Been there, done that. Long time ago now.

The Camery is fine with just the driver. Start adding weight and bigger tires?

It can't even get out of its own way! 🤣
Love my Camry. Easiest car to ever work on. I thought it was getting slower because of the miles….

Maybe it’s because I’ve gained weight.

The Camry type of vehicle is not something I am familiar with....I will leave it at that. The TRD rims look like they belong on a truck not on a car, just my opinion. Figures Hooter Turd has profound knowledge of the ultimate appliance vehicle.

As for decreasing the performance of a economy people mover with adding a couple of pounds of rolling resistance, who cares? She commutes about 12 miles a day. WTF? Who buys a Camry that is focused on " performance"?

Love my Camry. And yes it’s the 4cyl. Will get another one soon. So carefree to drive unlike the one in the garage. I’m on the third front end on the Camry. I hit all sorts of road trash on my freeway commute and don’t care.

My better half loves her Camry also.. not my cup of tee but she plans on keeping it for along time. People that have had Toyotas love them, totally get it, I was the same way with GM products for a long time. That's cool with me, keeps the commuter miles low the Durango, F150 and the soon to come red eye hellcat challenger. I trust in factory engineering and build quality no matter the brand, hence the question about using the 2018 up rims on her older car.

Barely got to airport and back home with 20’s performance tires on a Tesla on a cold morning. Pretty sure we know who was asking. 😆

I barely made 130 miles with a full charge round trip from house to airport and back with performance wheels and tires.
Still love it though. 😁

Dang.

What was the range with the stock wheels and tires?

When you got nothing, start with the name calling.

Thanks for the laughs Dan 🤣🤣

I'm just tired of arguing with you.... You can argue about anything 24/7.... That's what yore known for on RDP, arguing and picking on people, just as you did to BHC Vic, Dilligaf etc... You're a guy that loves to stir the pot, argue and pick on people.. You're the only one that doesn't know you do this. That's why you got demoted from moderator and that's why you're being told to stay away from the big Speed car thread. Your behavior is no secret... You don't stop... For your own mental health you should let things go.

You want to kick up some dust again? Do it in your drama filled model Y, seat cushion, 23' commander, Uber driver, F150, Days Inn Supercharger, friend who didn't plan ahead thread.... We can continue there... But taking shots at me in other threads is what gets you into trouble. And calling you "Speed Boy" is not name calling, if you find it insulting I will stop, you called me something very similar once, I got it from you.

Dan,

Then stop arguing with me. It is pretty simple. Hit the ignore button if you have to. You said you were going to stop yesterday. If you can’t, you should hit ignore for your mental health. No one is picking on you, Dilligaf or Vic. You made the decision to come into the discussion in the other thread, and to come into this one. No one made you post, did they?

The mod demotion was by choice.. and the Speed thread is filled with the same arguing and name calling as it ever was.

I asked a question here and got an answer. The only drama is the baggage you are dragging into this and other threads, so stop doing that if you have such a problem with it.

You can call me whatever you want. I didn’t say I was offended, I was just pointing out you have no response to the question I asked, so you started name calling.

Have a good day, and hope you can reflect.

Where does that leave me?

Since you asked... lol

You copy and paste news stories from Fox News into the lounge quite a bit, but I think you have have eased off a bit... Many of them are negative posts about the state of California... Since you you moved out of California to Idaho it's important for you to drive home the narrative that California sucks and you're so happy you moved out to escape California Communism.. But I don't see you as argumentative or picking on members... :)

Went with Tire rack Chiniaessium rims from Tire Rack and Costco Micheline Devender 2 tires. I was concerned about the width change from stock 16" x 7 " W rim and 205 width tire to a 8" wide rim and 225 wide tire with a different offset. They fit and ride so much better than the other tires. Micheline for the win again!

Wow, just went back through this thread...some of you guys are self absorbed dip shits. To be more specific, napanutt, LOF and anyone who responded to their morainic posts to this thread should take a hard look in the mirror. YOU are the problem with society today.

The rims fit great and the Michelin tires are exactly what you would expect from a premium tire, I do not care about loosing .5 MPG and know that my baby is driving on tires that flat out deliver what they claim they do.

She had been running the car through car washes for 10 years and the paint was showing why you shouldn't do this so I took a weekend and put my buffing skills to work. I got most of the scratches out with four passes, but held off with color sanding the worst areas. It's a dark color and I didnt want any swirl marks, so I went light on the compounds. It turned out well. Some of her clients asked if she bought a new car.

OK Saturday nights lookin up!
Bring it, I'm up for it tonight. I really dislike like opinionate people that just want to start shit, they are usually not mentally capable to go toe to toe with some one who is informed of specific knowledge in my in 53 years of living on this planet.

LOF, how about you get control of your reality and stop polluting threads with your obvious obsession's with being the center of attention?

How a thread about Camry wheels turned in to what it is now is ridiculous. The posters that veered this off course need to take a hard look in the mirror. I despise people like you.
