I see numerous people towing heavy trailers beyond their tow vehicle ratings

That's some redneck engineering right there. I could see something like that being handy on a ranch where you have multiple horse trailers to move around. Don't think I'd take the risk of hauling a 4 horse trailer with a 1998 Durango over the road.

4 horses is at least 6000lbs. Plus the trailer, plus the Tow All..... that Tow All looks like it weighs 1000lbs by itself!

That's what I'm saying. Even with brakes on this tow all, and brakes on the trailer, I don't think a light duty SUV is going to manage a load like that. I could see a dealership that sells 5th wheels using something like this to move around inventory. I'll tell you this, if I come across one towing down the road, I will get far away..

I'm no engineer but how does adding two wheels/tires reduce rolling resistance by 50%?

The video is killing me. But I see how this can be a great alternate for towing when you are dealing with a lifted truck. Keeps the trailer low. Of course you just added 10 feet to your over all length, but who pays attention to that stuff anyways:skull

I think the real problem is that it would be all to easy to surpass the rating of the hitch on the vehicle........

Duh..... you add the total number of wheels touching the ground, and divide it by the two wheels on the Tow All!

50% less rolling resistance!:D

That would be illegal to tow in CA. First trailer must be fifth wheel in CA, Than trailer on hitch.

I don't think it's really considered a trailer when it doesn't pivot between the 2.

I see a bad wreck when an undersized vehicle gets overwhelmed.......Which is likely any vehicle under a 3/4 ton Expedition or Suburban with towing packages. You can't fool the laws of Physics.

What about a long bed ford ranger? I see those trucks overloaded all the time at home depot...yet they are still on the roads!

I've used one before. Kinda cracked me up. Test customer showed up with one behind there dually towing a flat deck. Government truck that they weren't allowed to modify kinda deal. Backing was not problem and it pulled nice. In a way it locks rigid to the tow vehicle and then the wheels turn a little to avoid the drag. I have never actually seen one going down the road.
