Topock launch anyone?

Anyone know info about launching at Topock?
I live in Prescott and always launch at site six and head up the river to about 1 mile south of I-40.
Thinking it would be nice to launch at Topock if available?
Any info would be appreciated.

I would lauch out of Moabi/Pirates. Much better parking for your vehicle and a better set up. Extra 10 minute drive for you.

Yeah but another 25-30 minutes up the road and the agricultural stop. We launch out of Jack Smith as it is just across the bridge from our house in Mohave Valley. We will launch out of Moabi if water levels are going to be low.

This is the way. Even if for parking alone. Much better ramp as well, however.

I have a place in Golden Shores. On a busy weekend, launching at Topock is rough due to parking (and the occasional dumbass that may find a "spot" to park after you). Moabi is maybe another 5 minute drive over the bridge and down the road. Parking is a lot better, and going over the bridge you get a good look at water conditions, level and traffic. As a bonus, when you cruise the channel to retrieve, always some nice boats to look at...and other talent depending on passengers and sunglass tint

I've launched at Topock and it's got it's down sides. Where the ramp is it's really shallow and you have to be weary of hitting bottom. Your boat will get filthy dirty at the waterline as all of the shit in the marsh seems to collect at the ramp. If it's busy you will have to park the truck and trailer across the street in the sloped dirt parking lot. Good luck and have fun
