My buddy has a trailer near the point at Topock. I wonder if he has gotten the wire news yet. I will ask him tomorrow.

Chet didn't actually own anything. He was buying it from another party. I hear he didn't inform this party when he demoed the bar. That and dealing with the seawall that was installed wrong got things sideways. He had the money from a bank in Florida. BUt I hear that maybe gone to. This info comes from my buddy that has a place there. :headscratch:

Sounds like you and any of the others who posted should of checked with RD first...

The smart people at Park Moabi read the writing on the wall long before this was even a rumor.

If it is true it makes great business sense, buy your competition to eliminate the threat of business loss and monopolize the area especially when available land is so limited.

If they build another resort where they own the land they do a few things. First they guarantee business in the area if BLM pulls their lease at moabi.
They will also be able to effectively double their business.
If they just buy the land and do nothing they guarantee PC will have monopolized all the bar business in the area for as long as they desire.

Now that we got out of that cluster F#%K area of the river I can't wait to see what they do with it.

Yep. Just talked to my buddy who has a trailer there about this same thing. He hasn't heard anything and has a 4 year lease left. He called the guy that leases the storage yard who has a 20 year lease about this but hasn't heard back from him yet.
