Rose bowl was great, but not unexpected.....kudos to Illinios for a great try, but the offense wore them down.....

On to colt Brennen, Hawaiin superstar, and convicted felon(Serious bogus story there). Go Colt...everyone deserves a chance at redemption, tonight is your night...take it and run bro....I'm rooting for you!

Hawaii had no business being in a BCS bowl game. The Dawgs coulda scored 70 points. Colt found out what a real defense is.....

The same could be said about every team USC has played in a bowl in the last six years, except Texas of course. ;)

I agree that there was a reason they were not #1, conference was too weak...

They should have sent Georgia to Pasadena...they would have gotten their asses handed to them...they got off easy in the Sugar Bowl against Haw...

There's not a team in country that plays USC to within two TDs on THIS DAY, not two months ago when their entire team was injured.

USC could make the Dawgs look like they don't belong in a BCS game. Hawaii
earned the right to be there! win or lose

I agree, Hawaii was outmatched the moment they got on the field, it was bloody. And Illinios shoulda never come back out for the second half either. A better match up for sure woulda been Ga. vs. USC, and Hawaii vs. Ill. Now, get this they are so impressed with the USC victory, there is talk about a split championship....can you believe that?? Why nt just send them to the Championship in the first place....one of the teams going...(need I say names?) Also has two losses....go figure...:hmm

It wasn't so much that Hawaii didn't belong on the field as the Georgia coaching staff had their kids super prepared for the spread offense that Hawaii runs. Their recognition was excellent. They were jumping almost every passing lane before the play developed. Props to Georgia for actually preparing and not thinking they could just come out and win on talent alone, ala Oklahoma last year.

Mark Richt teams are generally well prepared and the talent level at GA is awesome. Playing in the SEC makes it a must.

Boise State was an anomally but had better advantages in both lines. Hawaii lost the game in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Also the variations of the run and shoot never have nor ever will win in Div 1's top echelon.

Colt Brennan ain't going to the NFL either.

Injuries or no, USC isn't No. 1 for 1 reason: Stanford. A loss to anybody else wouldn't do the damage the Stanford loss did. LSU lost twice in overtime to bowl teams, Ohio State lost to a bowl team, albeit a bad bowl team, but Stanford made the Trojan's fate.

Come on, LSU lost to Kentucky and Arkansas, both of which was marginal "bowl" teams, at best.

Colt Brennan will be drafted. I believe he's the 4th or 5th QB on Mel Kiper's board. He has decent size, a very strong arm, very quick release and he's very accurate. He's not going in the 1st round, but somebody will take a end of 1st day chance on him.

As I recall, and this might qualify as hearsay, I believe the NFL informed Brennan before his senior season that he projected as a mid 1st round pick if he came out.

Anybody with two losses should not be playing for a Championship, especially losing to teams with 4 and 5 losses.

Ehhhhh.....I gotta respectfully disagree with you guys on the subject of Colt. He led the team to an undefeated season, and was the best QB in the league...I think he will go fast....or faster than you guys are predicting, to the NFL....time will tell, huh?

He is the 5th senior QB on Mel Kiper's board. Unless he has a fantastic combine, that usually translates into late 2nd-early 3rd round. The guys ahead of him are Ryan (BC), Woodson (KY), Flacco (Del) and Brohm (UL), not in that order. Personally, I think Flacco is very overrated, like Cutler when he all of a sudden popped to the top of everyone's draft list. The only thing I dislike about Brennan is he has a very slight build, which makes him look taller than he is. He's going about 6'3" 195 lbs. He needs to be at 225 before the combine, IMO.

Ya, but you also think that Rivers is the "cat's meow".:D

Yeah, it's really hard to argue with a career record of 25-7 as a starter. Look up the number of NFL quarterbacks that won even 20 games after their first two seasons, I bet you could count them on one hand.

Let's just hope he's 26-7 after Sunday! I'm just yanking your chain about Rivers. I think he's got lots of talent and I like his "fire", but he makes me a little nervous.

But he has just a hell of an arm....but your right about the combine...we'll have to wait and see...I still say he gets picked up.....NFL needs some new arms out there....:D

Oh, he'll get drafted for sure. There's not a lot of NFL GMs on this board.

His first look at a true Div 1 defense made him look rather ordinary. If the league you speak of is the WAC, it's "best" typically are second and third echelon to the "real" NCAA top teams. Hawaii's "prescison" offense imploded againts GA's defense and young colt was seeing cartton pineapples and stars circling his helmet by the end of the 3rd quarter.

The University of Houston ran a high scoring run and shoot passing game back in the 90's and the 2 successive, QB's, Andre Ware and David Klingler, didn't make a dent in the NFL. And I think both had more talent than Brennan.
