Hopefully not a re-post and wish I knew their pattern of flight.

Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. – The U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, will honor frontline COVID-19 responders and essential workers with formation flights over San Diego and Los Angeles May 15.

“It is an honor for our team to salute the countless Californians who have committed to keeping the communities safe during this difficult time in our nation,” said Lt Col John Caldwell, Thunderbirds commander and leader. “We hope to give onlookers a touching display of American resolve that honors those serving on the frontline our fight against COVID-19.”

A formation of 6 F-16C/D Fighting Falcons will conduct these flyovers as salute to healthcare workers, first responders, military, and other essential personnel while standing in solidarity with all Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Residents along the flight path can expect a few moments of jet noise as the aircraft pass overhead, along with the sight of 6 high-performance aircraft flying in precise formation.

Flyovers in San Diego will start at noon (PDT) and last approximately 15 minutes.

Flyovers in Los Angeles will start at 1:10 P.M. (PDT) and last approximately 30 minutes.

Residents in these areas will be able to see the flyover from the safety of their home- quarantine and should maintain all social distancing guidelines during this event. They should also refrain from traveling to landmarks, hospitals and gathering in large groups to view the flyover. A detailed flight route will be released on the day prior to the flyover.

The team welcomes viewers to tag the flyover on social media with the hashtag #AmericaStrong and #Thunderbirds.

They flew over Austin today. Its awesome seeing those jets flyby in formation, I wish their schedule wasn't so booked to where they could have played around a bit overhead.

8 birds in total, 4 in a tightly grouped diamond pattern with 2 trailers running out each side of the central formation. They were flying really low too to stay below the cloud cover for everyone to see, Lake travis isn't this busy for the 4th of July fireworks shows!

Watch their Instagram account, they’ll post the flight path with approximate times over each point / hospital. I snuck up while working and saw them over Nevada. Really cool to see.

Bummed. They were a couple miles off their flight path where I was. Barely saw them. Couldn't even hear them.
