A month ago in Mammoth wife and I were walking back to condo from village at 10 pm (OK...maybe with a few cocktails) apparently I got between this mother f'r and some trash outside a trash bin. thing charged me and wife and I saw bear gums and teeth from not more than 5 feet away.. Luckily I used my survival skills, crapped my pants, screamed like a girl, and it backed off. I now take the shuttle ....

… When I lived in Mammoth I would occasionally walk home with a beer or a cocktail… I was warned…stay away from dumpsters on the way home…

That was momma bear.. you can see baby bear on the ledge below him right at the 23 second mark and can hear it as well
