This guy makes a profound statement " there is no renewable energy it all comes from the ground. ". See video link below.

1/3 of the worlds population is in china and India. These 2 countries dominate the use of coal and keep opening new coal plants further increasing the use of coal.

There are producing countries and consuming countries. We are a consuming country. Then there are the poor countries. The consuming countries have a lower level of emissions. The producing countries are not worried about emissions as they are trying to build thier economies. Thus total pollution rises. There is only one atmosphere so what happens there happens here. We pat our selves on the back and say look how environmentaly conscious we are. In reality we are raping and pillaging

I have a saying "we export our pollution". We have seen the epa create regulations shuttering US plants only to see the producing countries buy up the shuttered equipment and move it overseas. Probably used in a more polluting fashion.

Unless we demand that goods are produced under cleaner environmental standards what we do in the US means nothing.

This is an interesting video about energy

Those were for Saturday nights only.

Not for everyday, renewable energy use.

😎
.., Had a friend who took one of those every morning for 10 years and the party was on at his house, big Tujunga Canyon with a swimming pool… One day he woke up and said time to get my act in gear, ended up owning the largest corporate collection agency on the West Coast with one in New Jersey also unfortunately pretty late in years..he came down with leukemia and the party was over…a super super nice guy..:

This bullshit about hydrogen also. It basically perpetual motion. It cost more to generate hydrogen than any energy you can get from it.

The laws of thermnodynamics show the entire universe will eventually suffer a heat-death as all the energy dissipates.

Enjoy the warmth..... Global cooling is real... one day

Is hydrogen an effective battery? As we know there is not enough lithium for batteries.

It's rather amazing how rapidly EV battery technology is evolving, now that there's an incentive to invest in the science and R&D.
Lithium-Ion is already considered old school, if you're interested simply google EV Battery Technology.

I don't want an EV because I don't need one with the few miles we drive annually. Might consider a hybrid for my wife when she decides she'd like a new ride.
This is the future for my grandchildren, although my 50YO son recently picked up a Tesla Mod-3 he's using to call on customers.
I just enjoy the technology of the batteries their development.

Actually Taboma, with you only driving a few miles annually, an EV is great.

I'm in the same boat. Very few miles, mostly as an errand runner, daily driver. With all the generous tax incentives (you & me are paying for them) its the perfect vehicle.

I'm looking forward next year to knocking about $15K off my tax bill. I just might not have to pay as much quarterly taxes in 24.

It's nice to keep the truck parked and only gas it and the toys up when we go on a trip. Also get to save on insurance since I told the insurance company I drive the truck 3000 miles a year and is is stored in the garage.

Use the EV as the driver. I'll gladly take back some of my money I have been paying in taxes.

I don't care for my son's Tesla, to cold, to uber-modern Danish. I'm to old to appreciate the tech like my son does, and be stuck with having to use that touch screen for far more functions than I'd enjoy.
At least the Mach-E performance I drove, and was surprised how much I liked it, retained a few more analog-ish controls --- I do not like touch screens when I'm driving, not even in my Raptor.
Also I prefer to drive a truck the vast majority of the time and the Ford Lightning leaves me cold and I wouldn't want to deal with an EV for towing and going to Havasu.

More than likely we'll make that decision when my wife gets the urge to replace her Audi.
