Well i am sure most people followed my lovely remodel of my sandpiper toyhauler that had plenty of surprises. Also most know we sold it and planned on taking a break but instead we talked it out and decided to say screw it and get it over with and go custom! No remodel crazyness this time boys!

Well a little back story. Truthfully this layout we designed has been in the works and had been modified off and on for about 6 years. Even changed a few minor things since this attachment.

We blended many trailers we have had or my parents had along with walking rv shows for fun over the years.

We are a month out from pick up and will keep things up to date once we get it home.

The details::::::

2025 44’ Dunesport custom toyhauler 5th wheel triple axle.

I am sure people have seen them on instagram and or even heard stories of them in the past. A friend of mine has recently picked his up as well and we walked it and checked everything out and felt comfortable with fit and finish and craftsmen ship that we kept our order in progress.

Here is their rig build for his DD car and glamis

Custom layout design by me and the wifey, 8k tri axle hd frame, 14’ garage, 150 fresh water, rvmp dual fuel 5500 genny my choice, huge dual access basement, triple ac, light gray fiberglass siding, Aluminum framing, double insulated roof, double plywood floor deck total 1.5” thick, minimal roof penetration only 2 tank vents and a fantastic fan, 15k dry 21k gvwr with gen y gooseneck hitch, etc etc.

Feel free to look at the layout and comment. Hope you guys see my vision for our family maybe meet some of you guys down the roads!

Looks good!

Kitchen area forward might not be accessible when slide is pulled in. There is always going to be pros and cons to slides though.

44’ is a big ass trailer. 😁

Oh ya no doubt always something. The bedroom wardrobe slide is the reason we had to go to a barn slide door. We had a hinge door and was like oh crap how do we get in or out when the slides in.
The upper kitchen one when the slide is in will be 14” of space between counter end and face of the fridge. Its 12” but the fridge and pantry stuff sits recessed in the slide 2 inches.
We got tall siding and the upper deck will be 6’7” finish which will still feel roomy to me at 6’2

If you are spending that kinda bank why not just put the independant suspension under it as well?

That was asked initially during our first design and options but once i added up all the main things and details i was ready to drop another 7k for independent suspension or torsion axles, they do offer it though, i just upgraded the shackles and equaflex equalizers and wet bolt links for a cheaper cost than me buying the parts.

Another original plan was a 2 seat slideout where the floating eating ledge is in the driver side living room. We removed that to save money and weight also it didnt gain us any floor space so we scratched it and went with a hang out counter ledge.

I will also add that yes it is not as flashy with decor or trim contrast, fixtures and such as grand designs, jayco, alliance, brinkley etc but its frame is stronger with bigger i beams and engineered exactly to the layout i have, not a generic engineered frame that the others use and then stack all different layouts on top of. They use slim rack slide system and can do hydraulic and vroom as well if requested.
All in all i am still under cost compared to an alliance valor 44 14 trailers near me on sale at dealer lots

I would not go grey. Especially the grey from them it gets really bad very quickly. I have seen a few that look terrible after just a couple years.

I can agree, but wife had dark grey (which i said hell no) white was out of the picture also for her, so i had to lose that battle and light grey was the choice. Also no graphics which i still hurt from removing on the other rig.
I have seen their dark grey go dull and chalky fast and get pretty bad.
The light grey which is a lighter version of the attitude trailers, seems to hold better. Just need to keep my shoulders greased up and get many nice clean coats of ceramic on her!

Honestly this looks pretty bad ass!! They will custom build anything you want? What does something like the IG video go for?

Thanks dave! Ya pretty much anything you can think of they have a way of building.

Like mine has a specific feature we worked out and it has two separate furnace heaters.
One 20kbtu built into the garage to keep the kids comfy in winter, it feeds the master as well, then a 30kbtu that feeds the bathroom, kitchen living room area, also the master bedroom. Both individually controlled and the vents in the bedroom are close able. To choose which heater supplies the bedroom. Also upgraded the propane to 2 40lb tanks.

I have seen models that carry full size jeeps, wheelchair accessible builds. Open deck garage builds, a guy built one specifically for tailgate party rentals with a huge side patio set up. They have a lot of build where the garage partition wall if the 3 season patio doors so you can open them up all the way and have larger cargo area or close them off for separation.

I think my friends was right around 100k all said and done. There are some things that add up quick once you start building but you pretty much get what you want

Are you sure the garage is large enough ?
Hard to say i think for us its plenty. It will fit an infamous 4 seat speed car, or other utvs, but for us all we have is bikes. 450,110 and a 50.

Everything from the garage wall forward is as comfortably compact as can be. So my length overall is set by the garage.

Honestly i wanted to stay under 42’ with a 14’ garage but couldnt make it work enough. I could have gone to a 16’ garage and do their largest model at 46’ overall!
