I remember seeing these at the boat shows many years ago and thought they were a cool / simple idea . . . then I recently stumbled across someone mentioning them on another forum.

It got me thinking how old the gas is in our other boat, and even though it's 91 pump gas that I treated it, I'd still feel better pulling out what's in there & putting a few gallons of fresh in there before I take it out. Stupid ethanol crap.

So I ordered one and it'll be here tomorrow. I think there's only about 15-20 gallons in the boat . . . so I'll just mix it in a little at a time in my truck. 🤷‍♂️

Anyone use one, or remember these ??? . . .

It's OK if you've got a straight shot through the filler into the tank. Didn't work worth a shit for transferring old gas from my jetskis because the filler hose and tank neck are cocked at an angle.
What work the best for me, were the outboard hoses with the squeeze bulb. Eventually those would get hard, but they'd work fine for several years. Out of all I tested over the years, those were the most dependable.
The only down side is the siphon is rather slow unless you use it like an exercise ball for your 'Whackin Hand' 🤣

I actually have one of those plumbed into the boat with some valves and a switch....I just pull the cap off a polished up barb fitting, stick on a hose, flip the switch and pump the thing dry at the end of the year....I give the 2 stroke mix to the gardeners that I see in the neighborhood.

For years I spent time digging through crates looking for where I put the pump...then decided why not keep it were it always gets used...lol.

The jiggle valve??

I probably have 20 of them, they have been around like 10 years.

Suddenly this is amazing?

Lately I've been using the $10 harbor freight pump that's powered by 2D batteries.
These work surprisingly well. Only issue I had was getting the p/u out of the typical red 5 gal jug when trying to remove it. I had to kinda force the p/u into the jug. It slid off upon removal. PIA trying to fish it out but I finally got it. Haha

Here's the fuel transfer pump I tossed together. Fits nicely into a Husky tool bag and I've got several different 12V attachment accessories. Pump is mounted on an aluminum plate so when set on a concrete slab it provides a means for static dissipation. Hoses long enough to pump directly from my jetskis or SxS to my truck filler.

They first appeared on QVC on the programs they let shade tree inventors sell their ideas.

I bought 2 regular and two 3/8”still use them today.

If I remember a farmer invented it and was there in person demonstrating it.

If you use for fuel fasten the brass ball check to the tube with a hose clamp.
