Day 1

Hooked up with neighbor Mike after I drained all of Stacys white claw seltzer deals. (Those things are strong!).

We went to the smiths bar where you can apparently drink your ass off for under 20 bucks..

@Outdrive1 so we went to the keys where I saw some old friends.. should note I barely remember this journey

Was up at 6:00 am to take the father in law to Algodones for some dental work.

Love this little town. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST by the way.. procedure was 3600.00 in America 350.00 here and he said it was the best dental experience he has had.

Went back to JP’s.. he’s got a clean ass Banshee that’s got me hemming and hawing.. it’s priced fair at 5k completely stock and unmolested.. I have always wanted one.. but it’s so washboarded out in Havasu I’m not sure I can even ride it, nor do I know what I’d do with it..

Im on tilt right now.. do ya or don’t ya.

Loved being back in the keys again even if it’s a far cry from what it used to be..

We ended up in the culdesac.. she’s having cocktails.. Rick (Ricks a dick) comes out it’s like 3 am and I start yelling at the kids that they should be in bed and there little terrorists..

Been true by to see the neighbors ever since to apologize but it’s been strangely quiet in the hood.

New neighbors are cool and so are the old ones..

Only reason I'd pay 5 is for the nostalgia, it's a super clean j-arm and you dont see those in that shape anymore. More of a time capsule then a rider. Stock pipes and all!

There’s some Minor scratches on the fenders. Believe it or not this thing still gets ridden..

I wanted one when I was a kid.. at the ripe age of 11-12 my old man bought me a warrior. I had that thing forever.. ended up selling it to mike mike, the guy that takes the lightning photos online for 750.00 (mistake). Worth triple thst now at least..

I also just recently sold an 1985 xr80 / xr100 both clean and unmolested for a 1000 total.. Just to get them out of my garage.

I am Concerned I buy this, it sits and turns into a maintenance problem.. I had to work an hour tonight to get a 2021 raptor 90 running because it sat so long.

Don’t get me wrong when it’s time we use the shit out of em.. it’s the sitting that kills everything.

On that note I kinda feel like a “bad dad” right now..

The battery in the raptor 90 finally went bad so I got a new one. I told my son it’s kind of a paint in the ass because the little squares they send you are small and the screws never reach to clamp it together.. I remember changing more batteries on old jet skis and quads.. I always wondered why they didn’t just make those squares thicker?

Anyhow I told him I’d help him this one time.. so I screwed the screw in while he did the hard part and held the square up and the battery.. he asked me “how do you do this by yourself?” And I said “you figure it out..

The kids have been working there ass off all day.. house is clean / dishes are done.. my son hooked up my enclosed and unhooked it after I moved it.. he was on his last legs with the battery thing.

I decide I’ll fill up the tires on the 90 since the last time we used it was in sand.. I’m filling up the tires and on the back left wheel there’s no valve stem.

These wheels stock are offset.. granted we haven’t used it much since glamis but these kids have been riding around with a positive offset on one side and and negative on the other.


I made them change the tires in glamis from paddles back to dirt.. I never checked

Slide a small piece of cardboard(normal just tear a piece off the box the battery comes in) under the square nut when you slide it in so the screw reaches. Works everytime..

I just bought a TRX 90 for my son for Xmas and it was the same way when I brought it home. I also didn’t notice it for 3 days so don’t feel bad RD. It gave me a reason to take his wheels off and paint them black.

I've always used a piece of fuel hose or heat shrink tubing behind the square nut, on some batteries the nut can easily slide out when the battery is tipped, this keeps it there and holds it in the right place.
The pocket for the battery on my chopper under the seat is an awful place to connect the cables.

I started putting 100LL (avgas) in my atv, motorcycles, generators, pressure washer, mower, weedeater, etc., since it doesn't go bad instantly, like the frikkin downtown gas does these days.

I forgot to tell you guys the kicker.. lol. So the fuel is old in the quad but these little Yamahas will run on Jack Daniels I swear..
anyhow it’s being a cold hearted little slut.. fires up runs dies.. pretty soon won’t start at all..

I’m sitting here messing with this god damn thing.. I add new fuel.. drain the bowl on the carb.. I’m shaking the quad mixing the new fuel with the old..

Apparently when your a few beers deep it takes 30 minutes to figure out your son turned the fuel off at some point in that program. Lol.

I noticed when I was getting ready to take the carb off to clean it.
