China is no longer the low-cost manufacturing country it once was, and with entire regions being shut down at him whim, companies are looking elsewhere for better pricing and stability.

Plus their past 1-child rule has left them with a huge deficit of 30-ish year old productive workers.

When your economy is so distorted that it makes sense to build entire cities that literally no one lives in, you’ve got deep problems.
