The idiots running the Texas DMV do some really stupid shit occasionally, and the AG and governor usually make them rescind idiot rulings like this one.

For example, the DMV was allowed by law to get a right thumbprint on driver's license applications. A couple of years ago, the commissioner decided this gave them the authority to require a full set of prints from all applicants.

I dunno about you guys, but there's no fucking way I'm going to allow the state to get my prints. I don't trust government that much.

I let my license expire while this issue was being debated by the state government, and a few months later they changed the policy.

So I hope the buggy owners have enough resources to band together and get this rescinded.

I just got my Texas license renewed and I think they only wanted both thumb prints.

Since political affiliation isn't a protected class, we need to test people moving here from CA for their political leanings
