To buy an electric truck and to think its towing capacity won’t be severely affected is just plain, delusional.

The problem with EV towing is most charging stations cables are not long enough to reach the socket, when the trailer is hooked up.

Many charging companies are adding special charging stations for EV’s with trailers.

Never gave that issue much thought...

One of the many issues.

GM ford and stellantis are already struggling to survive. The Biden administration is digging their hole
“Struggling to survive?” GM just announced a $10 Billion stock repurchase. Maybe struggling to survive down the road unless they can get the EV part of the ship righted, but they have a solid balance sheet as of today.

. . . and regarding the Tesla truck, reports on CNBC suggest manipulating the stainless steel body has been a real challenge as this metal is not very pliable. Reports suggest break even proposition today on these truck sales due to major manufacturing challenges, no moving the needle for Tesla corporate.

In any case, it’s a bold statement, interesting to watch from the sidelines. Off topic, but loving my new X7. Exceeding expectations.

I just saw that the tires are one off's to fit around the hubcaps. I'm guessing not cheap to replace.

A highly desperate move to keep the stock from tanking. Most analysts question why this was done vs investing in making the business work. It’s a front.

The government shoving them to comply with EV, the union deal strangling them, lol good luck. Obama had to bail them out of bankruptcy once already.

FYI ; ford has incentives on the 2023 lighting, you can buy a lariat with 511
Package, pano roof etc and extended battery for 70k or less. And it qualifies for the $7,500 federal tax credit.

Edit- Debt Ratio is very high in their last 10-Q. Debt of $191 vs equity of $71 😳. P/E ratio of 4.5. Not sure they have the muscle to do this for their shareholders, only if they are very optimistic about the business. They obviously think retiring shares at a 4 P/E far outweighs the return on EV CAPEX today. I would suggest slow down the EV CAPEX and milk their surging ICE business (Escalades, Trucks, etc,) and build up a fortress balance sheet.

I see a big market for law enforcement with the truck. Bullet proof doors as standard equipment is a plus. Range in metro areas isn’t a huge factor.

A coworker of mine has seen one in the wild here in Austin. It won't be but a hot minute or two before they are randomly everywhere.

Trying to remember what I first thought of the Tesla 4 door models as they released.... thinking I didn't get their look.... matter of fact still don't ..... they are everywhere in Newport Beach.... I mean everywhere. I suspect these Cyber Trucks will be sprouting up in SoCal like crazy. They'll always be ugly but after watching all the video reviews this vehicle kinda rises above physical appearance through engineering, tech & performance.
And did anyone notice what it did to that 1000 hp Hummer? No competition whatsoever. Fuckin Elon.

Its funny, the Cybertruck is so damn ugly, I actually like it. 😂. It’s as if they said.. F&%@ it. We’re going to build the ugliest damn thing in the world and we don’t care. Here’s a great vid about the design, with both the head stylists, and engineer . Very interesting design for sure.

I saw one between Havasu and Kingman the week before Thanksgiving. As much as I’d like to support Musk’s “fuck you” attitude, it’s never going to happen with this whatever you want to call it.

Anyone know the dimensions on the bed of the truck. Seems kind of useless.
