Tax exempt question

My daughter works softball camps and makes about 3k per year. Questin is, what is the maximum you have to make to be tax exempt

$15k for 2025 if it’s earned income, meaning W-2

That’s federal exemption though. State is different. CA is $5300 but tax rate is only 1% on the first $10K of taxable income so it’s nothing.
