I know that private party vehicle sales are not taxed in AZ or if you buy out of state and bring into AZ.

But what if the used vehicle (private party sale) is from Oregon where there was no tax? Does AZ treat that sale differently and charge me tax at title transfer.

Pretty sure that private party will be no tax, but dealer sale will get you a tax bill when you transfer title to AZ.

Just re-read your post. If its private party, then you should not have any sales tax due. I bought a car from Portland private party back in 2009 and did not have any sales tax.

No sales tax on used vehicles being brought in from another state.

Be sure to get a notarized bill of sale with purchase.

Not necessary unless the selling states title requires it.

AZ state titles require it, not sure about Oregon but I know cali, nevada and idaho do not.

Signed title and if registering in havasu you can choose to pay for up to 5 years of registration at once for a slight discount
