Heading to my Dads this weekend and I wanted to take the Kids and Him to the hills to shoot some targets. We are responsible shooters but don’t know the area to well outside of town. Where are some areas we can mess around without disturbing anyone? We will be in RZRs if that matters. Thank you

Nice and pretty chill place to go shoot. I have been going up there for a long time. Please if you are bringing up random targets haul them out.

For sure , we respect the land and don’t leave trash behind. Shells are packed out as well.

This. Please.

I use these frames below for mounting targets. It is easy to assemble, break down and transport in a RZR.

All you need is pre cut sticks of 1/2” conduit for legs and a 2x4 to hang targets from.

Predrill the 2x4 for many eyelets or hooks, or screw in some a home before you head out to the field. Or just use twine for your targets and you are good to go.

It is like $25 for a good, sturdy, portable target frame.

Do you need to be a member to use the range?

Looks like a free range open to the public from what I was able to see.

Thanks Guys we will try it out.
If you go to the top of bison, please go way up in there, and shoot the hill. I live just south of there about a mile, sometimes I get nervous when I hear some of the cannons go off up there. I don’t know what some people are firering, but damn, I swear I can feel the shockwave.

No problem, we don’t have anything high power to shoot. More just to have my kids hang out with Grandpa and teach them some more gun safety.
Trust me we won’t do anything up there that would get close to harming others.
