Hey, whats up w/James Stewart.. I don't follow the sport that close, but when he was 19/20yo, he was super fast being RC before he retired.. Now when I watch him he's hurt, he crashes, or he just gets beat, seems like he's lost his speed...
I'd like to hear what your opinion is on this guy.. Seemed like 5yrs ago he would drive through RC and McGrath's records... What do u think? Have Villapoto and Dungy just passed him up?..:thumbsup
Sounds Good Guys, thx. Ya, I hope he can win tonight too... I've always been a fan of his.... I hope he can get things back together again..!!
ps, keep me posted, Im a cheap ass, no Speed Channel, (basic cable) lol..
...
Heat 1 Reed crashed battling Stewart for lead. Stewart 7th lap one, leading lap 5. Stewart wins heat 1.
Note Chad rode through half the field with James before the fall.

Oh well, the crash get's him again. Villapoto is dialed to come from last to third. Unfortunate crash for him, but he's solid. It's frustrating to watch Steward being so inconsistent. I can't imagine how he feels. He's still the fastest guy out there, but that doesn't neccesarily win championships, as he's proved.
Did his tires make him crash again?
Yea hard to say what his problem is, maybe only being a part time racer has caught up with him...One thing for sure the fastest man on the planet has company.
I think he will bounce back next week, give him one more chance.
I've never seen anything like it. An industry insider friend of mine that knows him said "he's just dumb, that's it, that's why he can't keep it together for any period of time, just a lack of smarts". I guess it may be true and this guy has been around the pros for years(decades) doing business and riding with em, he's credible.
That's true, it moves around alot through the whoops.
Carmichael was talking about the steel frame and how it actually has more flex than the aluminum frames. So that might have helped him on some of the looser sections, but you're right. RV's bike was a ROCKET off the corner. He went by all of the top guys like shit through a Goose. If it was a 30 lapper he would have won.
I think DeCoster is using this season to max out the current bike, probably get 2nd to RV and make a case to KTM to come out with a new design. Then it will be ON.
I think Bubba started believing what everyone said about him. Fastest man on two wheels, greatest ever etc. Got complacent. Drag racing Legend Don Prudhomme once called it "drinking your own bath water". I think he might have even been a little bit bored because there was no challenge any more in beating everyone to a pulp.
You can clearly see that Stewart has to ride over his head now to keep up with the others. While he is faster at times, he cannot sustain the pace. So you get crashes and "Huck-a-Bucks" all over the place.
He also seems to lack passion.
As far as the bikes, you could see from the overhead shots how much better the Kawi handled than the others. I am not sure if the KTM will ever get there with a steel frame because of COG issues.

Great shot! Keeping the track dry? Damn, I wanna see mud and Windham win!
K-Dub, one of my all time favorites :thumbsup
Whos going tonight? I am
I don't think that pic was taken this morning as it's still raining at my house Yes, a mud track and KW pulling it off would be cool but I think the rain tapers off today and with the track being covered it could be dry. Guess it all depends when they pull the tarps and when the rain tapers off. Will be interesting to see Canard tonight. He is def a front runner, pulled a seventh in Pheonix and has had one more week to come up to speed. Gotta wait till Sunday to see the race though because of the shitty CBS coverage. That means 10 minutes of racing with 50 minutes of bullshit. Well, at least they have it on TV.:thumbsup
Oh geeze, this one's on CBS? That sucks! I think it will take a while for Canard to come up to speed. I think he's one of the only ones who is top 3 consistently (I think this will keep dungey off the podium for the most part). Canard must be under strict orders to not push it though. He get's hurt more than anyone. Think about all the crashes bubba has and he never get's hurt, seems Canard get's hurt every crash.
Even my Mexican friends won't go to Doyer Stadium. They say it's a bad neighborhood
Heading over to the races around 5 going to go down to Felipes for an early dinner then up to the track
