I don't know man,.... There was a lot of shit that didn't add up with either sides story. I would love to know what really happened, but no one ever will. I think a lot of blame falls on the AMA/officials who handled it poorly.

Why did the AMA official do what he did, pressure of Daddy Deegan, who threw a shit fit.
Theres lots of content on youtube, if you want to hear the other side of the story.
I have listened to both sides.

Facts are facts, they are not debateable.
Name one rule the Amatuer kid broke in the process… NAME 1… you can,t because he didnt.

Why did Deegans / Yamaha reach out to all of his sponsors, who put pressure on the kid to not go through with the claim…
After the kid with draws the claim, he still lose’s most of his sponsors..????

Claiming Rule is there for a reason, to level the Amatuer ranks. So that teams like Deegans can’t race $40K bikes against $10K bikes…

Thats the reason why I have zero respect for Deegans. Because they went after a KID, and ruined his career and thats wrong.

Exactly… there are a ton of rumors… Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Yamaha did not want that bike in anyone else's hands.

So the question becomes, what where they hiding?

I hope more people use the claiming rule next year. Level the playing field in the amateur ranks.

its been awhile since I followed SX...when did the scoring change to three races, which then determine the winner....

thats how scoring was back in my day of racing... 70's...

I agree. Triple Crown events always seem to have a way with shuffling. Great racing last night, that one right hander must have been deviously slick, claimed several through the night!
