anyone know where I can get about 2000’ of 8” straw/rice wattle at a reasonable price?.... pretty quickly.
What’s it cost compared to straw wattle?http://ertecsystems.com/Products/Pe...--Five-Types/ProWattle------Perimeter-Control
we use this on our site. much better than straw wattle.
So far that’s the cheapest price I found...White Cap aka HD SUPPLY has em, and delivers. Probably not the cheapest price though... $25 a piece.
Saw them at Lowes.....doubt the price would be cheap though.
What's the purpose/benefit of straw/rice wattle? I haven't heard of them.anyone know where I can get about 2000’ of 8” straw/rice wattle at a reasonable price?.... pretty quickly.

Yea, install them all the time. I'm wondering what the rice/straw mixture is for vs just straw?Prevents dirt from going down hill during a rain storm.

Maybe that's what they've always been made of and I didn't realize the composition was rice and straw.
My customer supplies hubtry HUB. White cap and Hub are our main hardware vendors and 9/10 times HUB is cheaper.
Ok, sounds like the rice has always been in the mixture and I didn't know. The rice swells up when it gets wet and seals up the gaps in the straw.
We do sand bags tooI just started a big grading job in Malibu and I come to find out that the cities plastic bag ban is just not for shopping bags. The ban includes the white plastic sand bags we have used for the last decade or so. Instead of buying filled plastic bags for less than a dollar each, I had to buy Burlap bags at almost 4 dollars each. Totally retarded libtard bullshit. The city grading inspector told me we should start a Hemp sand bag business and we would make a fortune!!

Love that had one bout 5 years back give me hell because I was cutting out a foundation. In the back of the house for access and did not have run off protection for the front storm drain... almost 7 feet higher...you always know your fucked when the inspector is wearing a suitCity requires them on many permitted jobs. I have had inspectors walk away if our BMP's aren't up yet. Wattles, wash out, dirt piles covers, trash covered..even if it is a trailer. I'm like.... dude! It's summer! There ain't no rain coming! Too bad. Get em set up and call me back.....
