My buddy called me and told me his boat got jacked from his place in Blythe in the last few days. If anyone sees it, call the authorities.

My cousins will be out there this weekend, they're on the lookout for it. I sent them the pic.

I heard there has been an increase in break in’s in that section of river lately. Fuckers better hope the police catch them first, there is a lot of desert out there.

My Aunt has a house on that section and they got broke into a month or so ago, along with their neighbors. They made a mess of the inside of the house but didn' take much from inside. Stole alot of tools and ski equipment from theirs and neighbors garages. One weird thing they didn' take boat or jet skis but took the keys for all of them.

Not positive but think it was found. Minus a stereo and all interior was slashed, looked like a mad ex went all out on it. Saw pics on RiverWhips didn’t show a good exterior shot but looked similar

It’s a stock original 460, and I’m not even sure it has a radio in it...knowing the owner...if it does have a stereo, it’s a Kraco unit from 1983

That's a sweet 18'. That absolutely sucks. I'd be ready to kill'm if caught. I sometimes wonder if posting pics of our boats, toys, pads and vaca. plans etc. on forums like this doesn't make us more susceptible for things like this to happen? My shitbox house in big river has been hit 3 times n last couple years. ALot of home breakins in B.R. the last couple years. Did he happen to have any construction work done on his property recently? (new work, repair, a/c maint. etc.) seems many of the contractors have some rather low life employees working for them. (drugers, tweekers etc.) I hope if/when caught their info. is posted. Good luck with the hopeful recovery.

That's pretty fucked up if someone actually uses the boat. In the same vicinity no less. Hope they are caught on the AZ side of the river.

I saw a similar boat on the water this weekend above Aha Quinn. I ran in to check the thread on my iPad, and it wasn’t the same boat...close however .

A couple folks thought they saw a similar boat up near Aha, and a couple claimed to have seen it at the The Cove right south of the bridge...I let the owner know and he's been in touch with the authorities...no developments that I know of as of yet.

Update...boat was cut up, parts recovered. I guess the cops were arresting a couple tweekers in Blythe for a car theft and they saw the hatch cover in back yard. The pump was cut out of the boat, the motor transplanted in some POS hull (which is now in my buddy's possesion.). It was insured and he is taken care of, but still sucks because it was a clean boat.

In a perfect world the tweakers would be cut into parts and sewn back together in mishmash of parts from each......2 left feet on one, 3 arms on the other, etc. Teach their buddies to not follow in their confusing footsteps.;)

That sucks that the thieves cut the boat up. I have an original Spectra 18 as well and I love that boat.

such a bummer, that was a clean looking nostalgic piece with real character and history. WTF is it with crack central out here? This river valley from at least blyth to Laughlin is rampant with thew shit and the popo doesn't seem to be doing a fucking thing about it. I guess there's more $ writing traffic tickets then busting the crack heads. The trouble those useless fucks create cause more expense and damage to the victims than all their lives are worth combined. I'm sick and tired of paying for the failure of law enforcement to confront this problem.

I'm sure they'd be willing to listen if you have a legal solution to the problem. You should call them up and share.
