I just don't know where you find the time now...

You should start a thread on the car work you do.... like who needs a roll cage in an Audi.
The Porsche is one of my favorites in his shop. The nova? Pretty sure it was a nova, could have been a chevelle, is pretty bad ass also. I have to remind myself he's working and I should stop disturbing him and leave. But you just want to look at it all.

pretty sure that last photo I saw was a roll cage in a Audi, at least the steering wheel has the rings on it.

Never been to his shop, just see what he posts...

There is an audi also. A lot of cool cars Chris works on. Plenty of GTRs. While they are all different and it's cool to see him tear into 2 gtr transmissions at once. The odd balls are my favorite.

Strange enough, I have not seen his boat in person though. @ChrisV what's up with that? Lol

Audi TTRS. Makes 1300awhp. He’s trying to go 7.9 in the 1/4. It’s one of the last few cars I’m working on. Will only be GTRs from now on.

After 5+ years the stolen status is deleted from ncic. At that point the report agency should be trying to locate the owner and confirming that they did not
Locate it. Then it is re entered back into ncic for another 5 years. There is a database that le can access that never deletes.

impound fees, towing fees, boat transfer fees and two months storage fees. We now are offing the boat for sale at what the fees would of been.
This all adds up to $20k?

on edit. Its a free market, risk vs. reward, blah blah blah. My point is the above does not add up to $20k unless you're grossly exponentially inflating the numbers. "We are offering the boat for sale at what the fees would have been" is just disingenuous.

That's exactly what I was thinking. My Schiada was stolen in Dec / 2023 and I can only imagine what the fees will be if and when it surfaces from the thieves. The cops have a solid lead on it but they can’t find the boat, just evidence of the theft and pictures in a guy's cell phone of my boat torn apart on someone's property. Thieves suck!!!!!

Lee should buy it back and rebuild it and then sell it. Otherwise I’m not sure you’ld ever get your money back out of it.
If you get it for 20 I feel like you could finish it for 200? Assuming you paid for everything through vendors.

That’s gotta be a 50k hull from Schiada today?

When you can buy a nearly equal 335 Hallett for under $100,000, you’re not getting your money back on this. If you bought the hull/shell for $20,000, interior is $30,000+, motors and drives are $100,000+ and then gel work, new trailer and gauges and everything else you’re over $200,000 I believe.

The old 250k = 125k boat deal :D

Lol look if you wanted a 32 Schiada it’s a good deal.

What are there? 13 of them? lol.

Such a crazy story! I'd imagine all this crazy history could add a few dollars to the asking price. 👍 If a person could rebuild this boat "Efficiently," they could probably break even and have something pretty rare.

That's the challenge with something like this - The cost to put it back together is more than it's worth unless someone had to have a 32' Schiada and nothing else. It's hard to make the numbers work unless someone already has power/drives and the ability to do all/most of the labor themselves.

The AZ registration number was not in the system. The hull number was altered. The boat was documented when the last owner bought it before it was stolen but the owner never carved the coast gaurd reg number into the bulk head or stringer so no number could not be found.

So 20k takes it? With a new title?

Yes $20k buys the boat with new clean title. I have found 550-650hp motors for $20k pair and bravo XR drives for $15k pair. Good upholstery shops can do the outside seats for $6k and new inside cushions for $4k. Gel coat is still like new just needs buffing. I can get like new trailer for $10k

Curious what could it sell for now turnkey with the used motors and XR drives referred above? more than $100k?
I would say around $120-135k. A better Gel scheme maybe more. I have a Friend that rigs boats for a living that could help me. But I am buried with jobs and got to many construction projects of my own taking up all my money.

These 32' Schiada boats sell for no less than $200k. I have labor shops that can do all the work for around $10k
Motors I found are fresh and so are the drives. New upholstery and like new aluminum trailer. It's a $200- $250k boat

So you’re saying you can get it turnkey on a trailer for $65k after I buy it for $20,000.

Sorry but, no they don’t. The last few that have actually sold have been in the $100-150k range. You’re talking used motors, drives, and a junk trailer…that’s not going to be appealing to a Schiada owner.

This is one of those projects where you take what you think it’ll cost and double it. Especially if you want to do it right.
