She’s a dancerI haven't watched a thread this hard since the hooker thread
She’s a dancerI haven't watched a thread this hard since the hooker thread
Wrong. I recovered a cig and a tri toon based off the info on this site. You just don't hear about it.Problem now days is the cops won’t do shit about it probably. And the Owner would get arrested for taking it back.
That’s why I love this place.lol you guys are idiots..
The one I found or not actually found but inquired on the owner was not able to bid on it after recovery. I had a friend run the vin for me on a boat I wanted to buy that was sitting for years and i was trying to find the owner. By him running the vin a investigator called him. And asked about the vin he ran. From there it was all inside dealers that worked with the auction that got to bid on it and them only. They have that industry on lock down and it was corruption at its finest.I don’t, but that is a lot of boat to not have insurance on.
The original owner could always buy it back from insurance if it was recovered.
If it is that, it is too bad. I know people that know people that could have been at that shop with minutes to check it out after it was first posted there. 7 degrees of separation is usually more like 2 or 3 on these boards...lol. You would think by now people would know who to reach out to via pm or a tag in a thread.Don’t tell me this case is going cold again..
One of the recoveries I was involved in had a H.I.N. switch that with an untrained eye would fool most. It would have for sure fooled me if I didn't have the other pieces of the puzzle to look for. The guy in possession at that time dropped a substantial amount of cash (pennies by RDP standards) on what he thought was a great deal on a boat with fake paperwork and all. He was more than cooperative with us at the time, and to this day I really think he didn't know it was stolen when he bought it. Sometimes if not most, those fire sales are too good to be true with toys like this.True but that could be said for many of the posts made in your platform.
I mean at this point we have people going to this property to question a possible rightful owner.
I’m just trying to wrap my head around how a thief keeps the evidence in plain sight for years without being busted.
Then a random person bumps this thread and all of sudden it’s gone again.
This entire thread tipped them off, all it took was one simple fishing post.Just talked to another guy next door. He said they always wondered what a boat like that was doing out in the elements with no cover. Said tires were flat which explains the tire marks into the street. Said they never ever see anyone there and the doors are never open. Also stated strong smell of weed so maybe growing in there.
Someone caught wind and moved it is my guess. Hopefully no one affiliated with RDP dropped a dime on our hunt.
Truest thing on RDP……lol you guys are idiots..

Josh not posting as leadfoot racing. He has his own screen name on here but rarely posts. Definitely not him involved with this. Known him since he was a kid.
I remember 1 of the 24 twin turbo Eliminators that used to sit on the point that got stolen, think it was Black Velvet, he ended up with a little 2 seat outboard that he would launch by himself and head to the point with the other guys. Those boats hauled ass, Nick took me for a ride in his with the 3 speed transmissions on Memorial weekend. It was crazy when he shifted it on the way to Copper Canyon.T&Y has good points as I worked stolen boats case for 10 years. Then as a PI. It is very detailed oriented, and takes years to understand all the issues involved, but innocent buyers can get stung. I had one investigation that involved $850K in stolen boats, and that was 20 years ago. All HIN switched with legit titles, even the trailers had new assigned DMV VINS, a real mess. I flew to Sacramento and et with all top officials at DMV in an attempt to correct a very loose policy. They were very receptive and some positive changes were made.
FF, anyone remember the twin blown Eliminator Coloe of Money"? "Stolen" from Havasu.
Mine too.Still here on my end
Weird, I go to it in the link in the other thread and this is all I see....Still here on my end

Doesn’t seem so, if the insurance paid out it’s the insurance boat that’s being sold by the recovery company.I thought the person that it was stolen from is still the owner
Without going back a reading the entire thread I thought I remembered seeing that the owner wasn't paid out for some reason.Doesn’t seem so, if the insurance paid out it’s the insurance boat that’s being sold by the recovery company.
I don’t recall either. Who knows what’s possible after 11 yrs. Whoever is selling knows it’s a theft recovery and getting release papers from the insurance company.Without going back a reading the entire thread I thought I remembered seeing that the owner wasn't paid out for some reason.
So what happened to the trailer and who stripped it??? Talk about the Springer show of the boat world..Ok here's the story. Our company recovered the boat and trailer. Got called by the property owner to dispose of the boat. The boat has been sitting there for 11 years. We ran all numbers on the boat and all where clean. Did some searching on our own and found the stars and strips post from 2013. Got ahold of lee and talked to the original owner. We are a boat disposal and impound company. Insurance company worked with us and released the boat to us in exchange of all impound fees, towing fees, boat transfer fees and two months storage fees. We now are offing the boat for sale at what the fees would of been.

It’s in the works. Just trying not to kill myself from over working. You need a bigger boat when adding more kids....ha ha ha
and you would be in the ultra elite Schiada club.
Was the boat previously recovered and that’s why it didn’t show stolen or was it out of the system by the time you guys ran it?Original trailer was recovered years earlier. The trailer under the boat at time of pick up had a title. Trailer boat is on now is one of our yard trailers.
