Holy cow something that works like its supposed to, this little thing rocks, self contained except for needing power, and i can even power it from one of my Milwaukee batteries.
i've been trying out repeaters and poe systems to get internet to the shed in the back for few months and nothing really worked well, take this little sucker, set it on a bench outside and bam 98 mbps wireless, other than costing $50 month i don't see a downside, plus i can throw in a backpack and take with me, even just set in dash of the truck and have service when driving.

We got it in the RV and it is fantastic.
Pops right in the flag/camp locator pole mount. Solar trailer plug always have power.
Works fantastic, amazing it works at all.

Use to have to burn through our Cell Phone Data.
We got the roaming plan with all our boondocking and retirement travel.

In addition the Lines we cruise with clip passengers $30 a day for lousy wifi that is spotty + intermittent at best.. It's why we sail with a Blood Sugar sniffing dog with the special needs Grand Daughter.

Yes. Even in fairly lumpy seas we can have all three TVs on with good and stable pictures, people sitting on Instagram and Twitter, . . .

here is my roamsat mini. It is a major game changer. This thing has no wires and runs for about 5-6 hours with no connection to anything. I can use basic service or premium service. It works in motion or stationary. This one has a smaller battery that can be taken on any commercial flight as well. There really is no excuse not to be connected!!

Why not use a dexcom? It doesnt need wifi or cell service to bluetooth to the nearby phone. It does need it to remotely connect to other devices.

Mot sure, Never tried. Last flight I took already had starlink on it. I have seen guys setting these on the dash of there small planes with 200 + Mbs though.

$50 month gives you 50gb a month and has roam, $165 is unlimited gb and roam also, i'm going to start with the 50gb month to see how much i use, since it will only used out in the shed and after using it for a day i'm going to do a packout case for it, plus mount for it on the boat ( just because )

Starlink is great, I have installed a lot of them. But if you want service to your shed without on going fees, just put a PTP(point to point) bridge and access point inside shed. they work up to several miles with line of site. There are cheap one on Amazon but we use Ubiquiti. They have to be configured or you can buy preconfigured.

This, There are multiple point to point solutions avalable depending on the distance you need. At $50 a month you will very quickly overshoot costs of alternatives.

I have two of the same units. One was messed up when they originally put it together but took it back to their Vista shop and they fixed it asap. Their service was great.

My kids love it because after riding in the desert all day they can stream in bed and crash out for the night. StarLink is my babysitter while sitting around the fire pit

After several years of point to point, I finally got around to just burying a wire out to my remote office. It took me a half a day and its now forever.

I looked into that but few problems, no good way to bury cable without tearing up bunch of concrete, pool, pool house between house and shed, point to point same issues no straight shot, i did the internet over power deal and it worked kind of, was getting 4 or 5 mbps starlink is 200mbps plus.
and now as easy as it is to use and working for traveling its kind of a no brainer. i plan on getting a motorhome again so ill be set so would be spending the money anyway.

Dropped ATT land line replaced with Magic Jack.
Dropped ATT internet
Went to basic Direct TV.
= $2000 + annual savings.
Loss: No Dodger games and no Fox Business Channel.

We have T-Mobile cell phones with 40gb of data sharing via tethering, but I only get 30 mbps when I test the wi-fi connected windows computer.

When I test the speed on the phone itself in the same location, I get 150-250 mbps.

I need a faster connection to stream but I'm too cheap to pop for internet service to my toy garage.

I read that usb connection would be faster, but my phone "blocks" that option, only allows bluetooth or wi-fi tethering.

We got a Verizon Internet Gateway 5G box that we use in our motorhome. $25/month and so far, no issues streaming while going down the road or at any destination. Granted, we don’t really boondock and our dry camping has been Ocotillo. But it’s worked well for us so far.
