So for the past couple months my starlink was still working well but not like the peak after i had it for about 6 months. I was down in the 100mbps range and about 15ish minutes downtime per day.
Seems like some firmware updates are making this much better, down to around 5 minutes down per day and speeds back near the 300mbps. Either way still better than the 24mbps my old DSL would do under absolutely ideal conditions.
Starlink has now issued a data cap at 1TB per month, this won't affect most users. It is only limited to data between 7am and 11pm local time, outside of that data doesn't count towards your total. Once you exceed this you will drop out of data priority and move to the "RV-Tier" of priority. Basically fixed dish customers always get higher priority than mobile units moving in and out of cells.
They also have a new "Flat" dish and "In-Motion" service that will work while you are moving (driving etc). This dish i'm sure has better GPS and probably an internal compass or inertial course system as they phase array antennas inside the dish must know your position and orientation to properly aim their signals to the satellites as they each pass the sky very quickly above you. The phase array aims the signal through wave form timing, and does not actually move the dish. (This is true for the standard ground models but since they are fixed they don't require as rapid positional updates since they rarely move)
