You can pick one up at Eliminator at their open house this weekend, they have a bunch of copies.

Let me know what you think when you get it.

What is your article about?:hmm

What got me into performance boating way back when...

Twin Turbo Schiada / A unbelievable ride in a Twin turbo Spectra..

Something to keep in mind, these articles do go to an editor before being published so I'm sure there will be some minor changes to them here and there.

I forgot you had an article published in this edition and gave mine to one of the local hospitals, still in the plastic wrap.

Perhaps I'll browse your article in the next issue, before I give it away or, as I prefer to say,.... delete it.

By the way, the ward I give the magazines to prefers Hot Boat. Seriously. What a bunch of sickos.

The Hot Boat mags I gave to the hospital were all old issues. My subscription ran out last November, I lost interest in the mag, and I gave them away. Performance Boat Magazine doesn't particularly interest me either so I give them away too. Of all the mags I have received, I haven't more than glanced at a couple of issues of Hot Boat.

Those magazines are all currently sitting in the Women's Health Center. A friend of mine is an administrator there and she said they are always on the lookout for magazines for men to read while their chicks have their loins scraped. She was delighted to have mags that feature broads and boats.

I too give my old magazines to my gf to take to her work. She works for an OBGYN. Surprising someone complained about a HB magazine there so stopped letting her take them to work although I dont get that magazine anymore either. Was joking about the scantily clad women because remember reading that they were going to do away with them. :D

I believe it was the latest, a girl posing on the cover? I'm afraid I think I threw it out though. I went to look for it after reading your post and now I remember the night I got home from the race my house had been invaded by crickets... well...I used the new issue to kill them all  (it was the closest mag I could find). I didn't realize you had an article in there Dave...no disrespect intended but I was freaking out and the bugs were after me! :p

I will have to cruise by Eliminator this weekend after my class on Saturday in Perris.

Congrats.

You writing for PB is similar to Jeff writing for CRAWL. Even though neither of you have ever really "worked" in the industry, you both know so many prominent people, and they know you and respect you, it's unreal.

I haven't got the latest issue, but I am really looking forward to slamming your article down on a few a few crickets. I was very satisfied with the cricket killing power of the last issue.

When are we supposed to see the issues as subscribers? Anyone know?

Is anyone else starting to wonder about how punctual PB is going to be with their deliveries?

I know they were printed, so they are probably already in the mail? I haven't gotten mine yet either..

I got a call from some of the guys at Eliminator that read my article on their way home. ;)

That's not the latest that was at SD, those were Aug issues. I have not seen it yet either.

Since Performance Boats is drawing so heavily from the forums for content, I think they should get Bilgie to author a 3D pop-up for each issue. :thumbsup

Sorry, RD I had a brain fart. Amy sent our copy to my parents. She's really stoked about the pics of her at Burley! Thanks Mike(Rexone)!
Jeff.

You're welcome Jeff. Brett picked those pics out of all the ones I posted on the online blog (around 500 shots). I will burn you a disc like I said as soon as I get through all the shots from Long Beach and now Ming.

I just got the mag today. Good writing Dave, I enjoyed reading it. Morgan, this one's for you... lol.

Reminded me somewhat of my introduction to performance boating at Parker back around the late 60's. Like you I went on a probably 80 mph flatbottom ride that I thought was 150 lol. There was no turning back, my life has been performance boating in some form ever since.

I spent a lot of time at Parker in the 70's. Went with my older brother (first in 65) quite a bit to the Californian (now just a memory) right north of Big Bend. You can still see remnants of the old ramp, where the cabanas were, and a palm tree or two. After that I got my first flat in the late 70's and spent time with it at the Californian, and Buckskin, which was fairly new at the time. We were campers back then. My boating then migrated to Needles and Lake Mohave for years. I never did like Havasu much and really still don't, although I have spent quite a bit of time there practicing for ski racing (off season) during the 80's-90's and my brother now lives there. Ski racing occupied most my boating time from the early 80's to the late 90's so Parker was a rare occurrence during that time other than the ski race. I do like Parker and the Needles stretch the best. Being a water skier and small boater tho it is not as enjoyable as the old days with all the big boats and tower boats runnin around. The days of rafting a bunch of tubes and floatin from the dam to Sundance on a summer weekend day are just memories at this point. Or runnin the blown flat at near flat out from dam to dam and back without worry about noise, open headers, speed or lake lice. Boating has certainly changed in 40 years at Parker.

Funny thing though, we got home on sunday and our pup Tiki had shreaded the magazine to tiny little pieces. your article is safe though. ;)
