This is another obsolete Starship as they are several itterations ahead in design, I wonder if they will push this to failure as the payload is gathering data.

2PM Pacific time i believe is when the window opens.

So they want this one to blow up? Musk really has money to burn. NASA would have shit a gold brick if they had been told to try that.

No, doesn’t sound like it. They are shooting to have this one make it down for starship to do a controlled touchdown in the ocean. They also pushed back the launch time so they will have daytime video from the buoys of the attempted landing.

I almost think it’ll be more interesting to see how the booster does. If they get a second catch on the tower that would be outstanding

They don't necessarily care if it blows up, it won't ever be used for anything other than this test and they want data.

Musk has repeatedly said you learn far more from failures than successes.

If everything goes great that is fantastic, if it doesn't that is also fantastic because they could learn something very critical for future starships that are in production currently.

They landed it in th ocean a few miles from the pad, my buddy down there says it's pretty windy so that might have led to an abundance of caution. They don't want to destroy the launch pad
