Sometimes I just don't f*cking get it!

Just this past Halloween, my second daughter gave birth to a beautiful 6-pound baby girl. Her mom and I were so happy, 2 granddaughters born in the same year. This Holiday Season was going to be an extremely joyous time at the ole Tremor Therapy homestead! The next generation are well on their way!

Late last night my oldest daughter calls me.......our newborn granddaughter's father was found dead in a burning car. No foul play is expected, and I have my thoughts on what he was doing that he did not wake up when the inside of the car caught fire. But damn, 10 days after the baby is born, my daughter is now alone, and that baby will never know her father. I am raging with anger and sad as hell at the same time......I don't know how to feel.

Sometimes I just don't fucking get it!!!!

I am so sorry to hear this. I hope it was not a suicide type situation. Having a child can be stressful, but it is the best thing that happens to most of us. I'm sure you'll step in and you daughter will move on accordingly.

God Damn Man that is just awful, just had a close family member pass and I had to deal with the police and ME and what I told them about her recent health helped them to decide not opt for an autopsy.
I would think in your case there would absolutely be one.

If there is anything to try and see optimistically, it's that the young one is too small to know grief or pain like this. The mother and grandparents can hopefully find some solace in the young ones innocence. Let their smile, giggle or general goofiness spread to those grieving, like sunshine in the morning.

The cause or reasons aren't really important. Dealing with the past can tear a person or a family to shreds. Dealing with what is happening now, and tomorrows, is what energy and hope needs to be focused on.

I've given up on trying to understand why things happen as they do in life. Always frustrating, and never found the right answer anyway. I just try to do what I can as the cards are dealt.

Sorry for your loss, that is terrible. My wife and I just had our first child last Tuesday. I couldn’t imagine not being on this earth to support them.
