My son is here visiting before he gets shipped overseas in the spring...took him to a neighborhood party and some dumbass started talking his politics...my son could have taken him apart without setting down his beer, but instead let the guy run his mouth...this was my boys response on his facebook page...I pretty darn proud of him...

Nazi. I got called that last night by a drunk gentleman for fighting in this war. Just so everyone is clear, I fight of my own free will to better YOUR WAY of life in this great nation of ours. Your politics, religious views, and thoughts may differ from mine. And that's fine. I fight for you to have those rights. But ...it is because of the men that fought the Nazis before me that you even have the right to call me a "Nazi". Don't ever forget that!

Good for him, should have told the dumb ass that last night.
Tell him thanks, and me and my family support him and appreciate him more than he knows.

I see far more people that support our troops than those that don't. Good for your son, from his writing it's easy to see that he had a good upbringing and has a good head on his shoulders. It's clowns like that who will be the first to get it if the shit ever hits the fan. Tell your son that EVERYTHING he does is greatly appreciated.

X2............Especially the patience part, some one needs to break into his home and crap in his top drawer, funny how people like that all of a sudden have no problem asking for help. Raised a class kid good for you.

The problem with some people is that when they aren't drunk they're sober.

That was a well executed response.....I just wish that sometimes those "Nancy Sheehan" type of people would just shut the F up.

They have the freedom of speech.....because another gave the ultimate sacrafice. And it is that sacrafice, that gets forgotten.

You sir have raised a fine young man, and should be damn proud. Me and my family thank him for his service, and for his excellent discipline. Just between you and me, I would have slapped the shit out of that guy for saying those things to your son! Kick ass young man, and come home safe!

Just about to say, If he'd have said that to my son in my presence, my son wouldn't have had to have worried about it. God help him if his grandpa or uncles would have been there. We take a very dim view of that sort of thing in our family and friends' circles. Some things will just get your ass kicked, regardless of circumstance. Classy move on the soldier's part. Fair winds and following seas to him, be safe.
