My father recently passed away so I've been helping my mom clear out old iventory from their shop and tons of my dad's stuff. As many of you know he was a saddle maker and amazing gun leather maker for 50 years. I have these two pairs of beautiful chinks he made. Chinks are shorter chaps that the vaqueros and south west cowboy buckaroos wore and still do to this day. Being shorter than chaps they kept the cowboys cooler but also were much better for freedom of movement. Plus they are just really neat.
Pair 1.
Custom one of a kind leather cowboy chinks / chaps made in Boulder City by Western Star Leather. These are super collectible and made by famous saddle maker, my father John Costanza Sr who is now passed. These retailed for around $800.00 but helping my mother clear out lots of his items at a loss. Incredible one off custom workmanship at the cost of mass produced. $300.00
These are mahogany moccasin leather with natural colored basket stamped bibs and scallops and scalloped fringe. White bronze conchos. Everything reinforced and double stiched.
These are to be worn 2" below waist with adjustments 36" to 44". Length is 32". Thigh measurment of 23"

These are dark brown moccasin leather with contrasting sand color scallop. Hand carved bibs and scallops in a beautiful vintage wild rose pattern. Sterling silver conchos. Everything reinforced and double stiched. They just don't get any nicer than this.
