May as well make it as easy as possible.


As a funny side note. My friend shoots an Elk in No Arizona. When asked later about the experience, he said he regretted not shooting it closer to a road. lol

That happened to me. I bagged a nice muley buck in New Mexico's Gila Wilderness, a rugged area in the SW area of the state. I had walked in with a buddy about four miles, entering topography that consisted of steep and repeated knife edge ridges with narrow valley floors.

If I had considered the difficulty of the packout before firing, I'm pretty sure we would have sat down and smoked a joint instead of taking the deer.

I learned real quick, accuracy and range can actually be a kick in the balls. Just because you can take it down, doesn't mean it still won't try to kill you packing it out!
