Had a busy morning and decided to take a quick flight to check out the snow in our local mountains. We had just gone up on Sunday and checked it out on foot while it was still snowing. Was super pretty driving up.
Took off from Montgomery field and flew east over Gillespie, Lake Jennings and Alpine.
From there continued around Cuyamaca Peak to the south.
Lake Cuyamaca and the surrounding valley had a ton of snow, more than I expected
From Lake Cuyamaca I decided to head down into the valley and land at Agua Caliente. It's a nice little strip right at the foot of a hill where there is a campground and some hot springs. Didn't grab any pictures here but it was a nice little stop.
From there I headed Southeast and looped around goat canyon. Took my time coming back in enjoying the view, was a beautiful day up flying and a good 1.5 hour distraction so I thought I'd share
