Wanting to buy a decent slot car set for me/grand-kids. Whats a decent one that has speed limitations that can be set until they get the hang of it. What do you got?

Where I grew up we had two slot car tracks in town, Don's raceway and Archery lanes. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

I bought that big four lane one and it’s pretty cool. One of the guns is screwed up but we like three lane racing still. Lol

I need to put it back together for the kids actually

Here are a few to look into - slotmods does some really cool tracks and can make a copy of any track you like. Imagine Laguna Seca in your living room or how about Monaco? They do pretty cool stuff.

Check out Zac Browns (McLaren CEO) raceway - his looks like a combo of LaMans and Monaco and Indy in one track with actual billboards form the actual tracks etc.

Yep that's Downey. Don's was on Downey ave just N of Firestone and Archery Lanes was on Imperial just east Bellflower blvd. Sadly, both have gone the way of the Dodo bird.

This is badass. It's like model railways but cool.

Buena Park Raceway is still currently operating with a world class King track, a flat track, and a drag strip,, maybe one more track in the back. I haven't been there since I moved out of CA.
